Best Golf Course this side of the border 6/6/2011

St. Croix National Golf Course is an amazing course that is tucked away in the hills and forest of Somerset, Wisconsin. As you pull up to the course the road leading up to the parking lot gives you a glimpse of what lies ahead; rolling hills and magnificently manicured fairways with strategically placed bunkers. The staff was great as soon as we walked in the door; the practice tee (driving range) overlooks a 200+ft drop off. You won?t be able to get your distance, but it will help you with your control. The greens were in the best condition I have ever seen this time of year (late spring). It was a challenging course that offered some of the most beautiful tee box views you could ever imagine. Everything at this course was done at a private course level, but at public prices. Definitely play this course. more

St Croix National 6/6/2011

Worth the drive from the South Metro! Spectacular views from the tees. I have played St Croix National a couple times. Each time has been a great experience. Chipping and putting facility is well equipped. Hard to tell distances on the practice tee. Aa well placed tee shot will keep you in this all day. The greens are in great shape! The course is in Mid-season form. Rates are a steal for this course more

St. Croix National is a gem! 6/6/2011

During a year when a lot of courses lost greens to winter kill, St. Croix National has theirs holding shots and rolling true. The staff is friendly, the views are amazing, and the course is fun, challenging, and in perfect condition. On a 90+ degree day we saw the beverage cart every 4 holes! more

Great course in Somerset 6/6/2011

St. Croix National is the tenth course I have played so far this year and it was by far in the best condition out of all of them. The fairways and greens were all in great shape for this time of the year. The course is challenging for every type of player and requires a lot of accuracy or you will find yourself in trouble. Beautiful views of the forest on quite a few of the holes. They have a nice practice putting green and also a separate practice chipping green along w/ a driving range. No GPS in the carts but they have sky caddie?s available. Any amenity that you?re looking for is available at St. Croix National. Staff was all very friendly and helpful?for the price you cannot beat this course! more

I am coming back 6/6/2011

St. Croix National is a real gem. This was the first time that I played the course and I am definitely coming back and bringing my friends. The greens were the best I have seen in the area by far in the Twin Cities market. The layout is fair but challenging. Even though standing on the tee box can have you scratching your head, you find that your shot is still in a position to reach the green. The terrain has many changes and I can only imagine how beautiful it looks in fall colors. more

BEST GOLF AROUND 6/6/2011

If you haven't golfed here you are missing out, not only are the greens the best you will see in any golf course or country club, but the employees are helpful with all your needs in and around the course. Dont walk or you will be here for a few days. They even have GPS systems to attach to the golf cart to help you in any way while on the course. The main golf center is comfortable and clean and has a healthy amount of food and golf accessories. I will definitely be back whenever possible. I will definitely bring my military guys here too since the price is perfect. more

St. Croix National Golf Course Review 6/6/2011

St. Croix National ? Course Review St. Croix National is a beautiful course which borders the St. Croix River. The course offers a number of beautiful views and significant elevation changes. The course can be walked; however I do suggest using a cart. All handicaps will be challenged by this layout; mainly due to the elevation changes and difficult lies you will encounter on undulating fairways and thick rough. I found my round to be thoroughly enjoyable, complimented by top notch service and knowledgeable staff. I would recommend this track to anyone and I look forward to playing it again in the near future. Jeff Malm, TwinCitiesGolf Reviewer more
