I took my girlfriend to the Queen Mary for her birthday on a Wednesday night. We spent the night in the hotel. To begin, we stopped at the Observation Bar for a drink and an appetizer. The services was pitiful. This is the first time in 31 years that I DID NOT LEAVE A TIP! The bartenders acted as if they'd never poured a drink let alone knew how to even open a beer bottle. We waited and waited and waited for drinks. They continued to pour the wrong one's and even looked into the menu to determine how to actually make them. Even their manager stood beside them trying to coach them but to no avail. Then we made reservations for Sir Winston's. Ahhh, Sir Winston's. The refused to let us sit in the main room b/c I was wearing jeans with a sportcoat and button down shirt. Nice jeans, 7's. so we were forced to sit in the lounge. When we left there were over a dozen people, all older, all wearing jeans, that were allowed to sit in the main room. She ordered the duck, I ordered the steak. Both came out COLD! I mean, prepared days in advance and not even tossed under a heat lamp. AWFUL! AWFUL! AWFUL! The worst experience of my entire life. And incredibly over priced. Bad service. Disgusting food. It was a $130 tab for GARBAGE! I've written letters to the Queen Mary Executive Offices, will never recommend this place, and will publicize the truth about how crappy of an establishment it is! To add insult to injury, the rooms are not well kept, the shower drips out (barely) and the the service staff is non existent.
Cons: Service, food, value, experience
