Skin Care Therapist-Sheila 3/9/2011

After reading the story Elena K. wrote, I knew there was no way her story was accurate. I was glad to read the stories submitted after her that are clearly more accurate than Elena's. I have been going to Sheila to get my eyebrows waxed ever since I was a young teenager and have never gone anywhere else. Even when I was away at college, I would do my best to hold off on getting my eyebrows done until the next time I was home from school because Sheila is the only person I trust. She is extremely nice, professional, and caring. Elena K. could not be more in the wrong more

Elena K. Not True 3/4/2011

Hello - I am the client that was with the skin care specialist, Sheila, during that time we were so rudely interrupted. Not only did Elena K interrupted my scheduled time with Sheila she was persistant and rude to Sheila. She kept asking the same questions and yes she definitely was trying to push buttons whish she did admit. Who does that as an adult? Anyway, Sheila did take time with her and even gave her a brochure which clearly stated the services and prices. Elena K would not stop. She kept pushing to make her own prices and asking for a $25 facial. Sheila kindly explained yet again some options. Sheila then kindly reminded her she was with a client - me. Elena K did not stop, again pushing buttons and did not respect Sheila or the client's time (mine). Sheila suggested a free consult. Elena said she would stay until I leave. Sheila said she had to go get her child and I was her last appointment of the night (it was almost 7pm). Elena K then demanded a time the next day to discuss. Sheila kindly went to her appointment book and said she had a slot at 2:15. Elena K said she was working but could talk on the phone. Sheila agreed and asked for her number. Elena K said she may not be able to talk and Sheila said she would try and leave a message if she was not there. Still this did not sit well with Elena K and yet again, kept pushing buttons. I couldn't believe the nerve of Elena K. Sheila was so kind and took so much time to talk to her and I patiently waited. There was no yelling by Sheila - lies from Elena K. Sheila then said she really needed to get back to her client cause it had been about 10 mi or maybe more of time wasted. Sheila is amazing at what she does and professional. Elena K was totally in the wrong which I agree with the other response. Sheila does amazing facials and takes time with each client to ensure their happiness. I love going in to have services done and refer family and friends to Sheila. Kerry D. more

Elena K - disrespectful 3/3/2011

My name is Kerry and I am the client Sheila (skin care specialist) was working on when Elena K came in and demanded Sheila's time. Sheila was kind hearted and answered her questions but kept reminding Elena K she was with a client (me). Elena K kept on going. She kept looking for a $25 dollar facial or some sort of special. Sheila explained kindly to her what services in facials she had and the cost and grabbed the brochure for her to take. Elena K of course did not back down with her demands and questions. She again kept taking time away from me. Again Sheila reminded her she was with a client and that another time would be better to discuss. Of course not good enough and Elena K kept going. So Sheila said tomorrow she has some time to discuss treatments further and a consult. Elena K asked how about after she is done w/ me (about 10 minutes now have gone by). Sheila said I am her last client and it was already almost 7pm. Sheila explained she had to get her son. Not good enough for Elena K. A suggestion made by Sheila for the next day again and Elena K asked what time. Then Sheila went to her appointment book to review. Said she had time at 2:15. Elena K asked if it could be done by phone. Sheila said she would call her and talk for about 15 minutes. Elena K then made it so difficult by saying she may not be able to answer and Sheila said she will leave a message and Elena K can try her back. Again Sheila said she must get back to her client - ME. By this time I was very annoyed by someone taking advantage of someone elses time slot with Sheila which had been scheduled. Sheila had been very kind and offered choices and answered questions straight forward. This person was rude and intrusive and I can reassure anyone there was no screaming from Sheila. Funny though how Elena K admits she tried push buttons. Who does that? And who interupts someone elses appointment? Sheila always gives her clients 100 percent and is kind and professional. I love going into see her and she does an awesome job. more

Elena K. was in the wrong...... 3/3/2011

I happened to be in the waiting area of the salon, waiting PATIENTLY for my turn to get my nails done, like most grown ups know how to do, when this woman bursts in and completely interrupts the "skin care specialist"......who I happen to know is Sheila, but I'll get to that later......right in the middle of an obvious appointment with another client who was getting a make up application. The woman, who I have to assume is this Elena K., starts grilling Sheila about her pricing and discounts and why didn't she offer $25 facials, and I have to add here that she was the one with the raised voice, to which Sheila calmly suggested that she make an appointment for a free consultation. This did not sit well, as you can read in Elena's review. She kept on with the demands and questions and it was actually the client who interjected to say that it was her time, which was when Miss K. stormed out to go home and write her mean spirited and inaccurate review, and when everyone in the salon collectively rolled their eyes and got back to what they were doing. As for Sheila, I have been going to her for years for facials and waxing, and she did my make up for my wedding, Her work is flawless and she is always friendly and professional. more

Very Rude Skin Care Specialist 3/2/2011

I walked in to check on the prices for facials and got yelled by one of the skin care person due to the fact that she was busy with another client and told me that she has no time for me to go over the prices. She advised me to come back at HER "convenient" time if I would like to get more information on facials. I said that I was sorry for interrupting her services with another client and agreed to come back at another time. Then, she goes over her scheduling book and told e that she has a 2:15 slot available for me for only 15 minutes tomorrow if I would like to come back. I told her that this tome would not be convenient for me and suggested if she had anything later than 2:15 on that day. I think I completely pushed her buttons by agreeing on another time and she told me that it is not her job to reach out to me and once again she screamed at me that she has to return to her client. I would not go back there. I have not done any services there but was very surprised how that place treats new customers:(. more

Fantastic Work 6/15/2009

I have had my hair styled and permed by 3 different hairstylists at Salon Divoe and they have all done fantastic work doing just what I wanted. I had always gone to Dellaria's and wish I had known Salon Divoe existed all these past years. Barbara Pitts more

Salon Divoe 6/16/2005

I recently followed my hair stylist to Salon Divoe in Norwood. I was surprised that she chose this new location - her past salon had been kind of artsy, and this seems more like an old-fashioned beauty shop. The salon is large and bustling on Saturday mornings with a clientele ranging in age from the late 20's to old ladies getting their blue rinse (lots of these). The shop is very clean and the receptionists are pleasant but brisk (due to the heavy volume, I think). A real plus of this salon is the variety of services they offer. There are the traditional hair services, as well as nails, ear candling, waxing and makeup and facials. On one visit the owner was peddling some Himalayan health potion to anyone who would listen - kind of tacky. Hair cuts with my stylist are $50 and eyebrow waxing is $12. more
