Ask for Monique! She gave me the best haircut I've ever had. I have super fine straight hair and usually rely on a lot of product and a blow dryer for style and shape. After Monique's cut, I don't even have to blow it dry if I am running late in the morning and it still looks amazing. She really is very talented and has years of experience to offer you. You wont be disappointed. more

I have followed Monique wherever she goes to work for more than 25 years. I have no car, and currently take 3 buses to get to her. And it couldn't be more worth it. Monique listens to what I want, makes excellent suggestions about what would be best for my hair, and I have never been disappointed. She is a true artist. Master your haircut with Monique!\r \r I know Monique from the time she was working in Center City, i.e., for about 18 years.\r She amazed me on the very first visit when she quickly examined my head and hair and concluded that my current hair style needs to be changed to conceal the ""cowlick"" at the back of my head. She applied her art and - here I was, renewed, looking pretty and even intriguing. I liked her very much and did not go to any other hairdresser since. I followed Monique wherever she was working at the time.\r \r 18 years passed by, I lost half of my hair, but Monique never disappointed me. Monique is AMAZING! I have very fine, long hair which tends to look the same no matter how it's cut. Monique is the only stylist I've found who is able to give it swing and body that lasts for months after the cut. Not to mention the color - beautiful, natural-looking highlights that grow in without looking like I color my hair. She is very intuitive and really listens to what I want - she has made my hair look the way I've always wanted it to look. Plus she is interesting, down to earth and very personable. I always have a lot of fun talking with her. She could charge a lot more for her talent, but I'm glad she doesn't! The salon has a fantastic vibe, very warm and modern. Make an appointment with Monique, you won't be disappointed! more

Definitely go to SHELLY, you will be so happy! I have been going to Shelly for over 3 years for cut and color/highlights and I never knew my hair could look this good! It's the hair I always wanted and I owe it all to Shelly. If you want glorious glossy multidimensional color and a cut with lots of movement, Shelly is THE ONE! I have made alot of changes to my hair and Shelly always does whatever I envisoined - I have never been disappointed. It looks great straight or curly! Oh and ladies, trreat yourself to the Keratin treatment its amazing, especially with the humidity in the summer months, and Shelly is a pro with more experience than anyone else with keratin! more

Shelly Bloom at Capelli is the absolutely best colorist in the world. Every time I get my color done and a blow out, many (I am not kidding MANY) people say to me: ""OMG you hair looks great!"". And I feel like a million bucks. If you need your color done, you MUST go to Shelly she is the best. And Cindy is absolutely adorable, too. If you are really lucky Suki might be there also! Add my name to the list of those who have followed Monique. Bala Cynwyd isn't the most convenient place for me to get my hair cut, but that's where Monique is, so that's where I go. I wear my hair very short, and Monique, a perfectionist, is a genius at keeping it perfect and tres chic! More than one person has stopped me on the street to ask who cuts my hair. more

The salon is lovely, but I go for Monique! I have been her client for 25 years and followed her to six different salons during that time. I have very fine, straight, limp hair, but you can't tell. Monique cuts it so that it not only looks like it has body, shape and movement, but it also is effortless for me to style. As if that weren't enough, Monique is a fabulous colorist. When i mention to I'm due to go in to have my color done, people can't believe my blond highlights aren't natural. more

Monique has been cutting my hair for about 15 years. I have followed her from the city to the suburbs - I wouldn't think of letting anyone else cut my hair. I regularly get unsolicited compliments from men and women alike. If you are looking for a great cut - just you ask for Monique at Salon Capelli. more

Have been going to see Monique at various salons for more years than I care to remember. I have faithfully followed her because she does a wonderful job with color. Monique could have charged more for her work, but making the maximum dollar has never been her priority. She just wants a client to leave satisfied. I am always happy to see her - and so is my hair! more

Monique - Fantastic Cut and Color 5/13/2011

I have followed Monique from salon to salon for years now. Having had so many hair cuts where the stylist doesn't listen, thinks he/she knows best and does his own thing and you come out of the salon not looking like yourself with a color that is not suited to your skin color, Monique listens. She makes it a collaboration because after all you know your hair best and its quirks. She cuts my entire families hair, long and thick, longish and curly, very short and curly with great color and highlights, and both the men, one thinning and one a teenager! Monique has been in the business for many years she is the best. You will love your hair cut and or color. more
