I love Sabai Body Temple! The massages are amazing, I feel totally transformed after I leave. The therapists are truly concerned about what's best for your body and take the time ...

So I wanted to look for a great birthday idea. After checking out Sabai's website, I thought it seemed like an excellent idea to try them out after reading a few reviews before po...

I LOVE THIS PLACE! 11/3/2008

I happened upon Jessika giving free chair massages on a Friday night during the Uptown Art Fair. She was closing up but agreed to do one more. It was the best chair massage ever so I followed her up to the studio to check it out. I decided to try a full body massage for the following week, but she was booked uper so I decided to try Josh. He was as good as she was and I was hooked. I have been coming back over a year now, and wish I could afford to be there every week. I have had massages all over the Twin Cities, and actually all over the world, that do not compare to the treatments from Josh. I have experimented with different "experiences" and have been satisfied with every one. The mustard foot bath is next to heaven, and when followed by Anne's 60 minute reflexology session, cannot be compared to anything! The whole experience from the minute you walk in the door and float out, to the Chinese New Year celebration and the fact that its on my way home from the office makes this the perfect treat anytime I feel the need to be pampered. In fact, I think I have said enough and now need to make an appointment to try out the head massage! Pros: Perfect location for me. Extended hours make it pretty easy to get appointments more

Walk in and feel Relaxed. 11/3/2008

Easy access in Uptown, the atmosphere alone in Sabai makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. The range of services and make-it-your-own options is super, prices are fair, and the staff kind and warm hearted. If this is your first massage experience or your fiftieth i would recommend Sabai. Pros: Atmosphere, service, options. more

The only place I will ever go for a massage again! 11/3/2008

I found Sabai once on a very rainy day off and in desperate need of a massage. Jessika is very professional and very attuned to my body and what it needs. Since my car accident in February, Jessika has helped speed up the healing process by setting up a treatment process and recommending additional treatments that very much helped. But what I appreaciated most was that she let me try them out before I decided to purchase them. more

Consistently Delightful! 10/29/2008

I found Sabai just as I decided to start taking more care of my body and could not have imagine a better place for relaxation, rejuvenation, and reflection. I have been getting regular massages at Sabai for seven months and I have only had wonderful experiences, the staff is friendly, warm and professional. The care and attention given to me at each visit feels like I am the only one in the world! I feel very secure and confident in the hands of these professionals (pun intended). Through each massage, I learn something more about my body and myself. Aside from the fantastic massage, the interior design is stunning and makes me feel transformed just by walking in the door! Pros: Great Massage! Beautiful Atmosphere! Personable and Professional Staff! Cons: I want to live there! more

I cannot imagine going anywhere else for massage therapy! 10/29/2008

I highly recommend the massage therapy at Sabai. Their staff is wonderful and they have a caring and holistic approach to nurturing the whole body. I see a chiropractor on a regular basis, and he is consistently impressed that Jessika at Sabai seems to "know" the exact muscles to work on to complement his adjustments (not to mention that now it is much easier to be adjusted as a result of all the muscle work in massage therapy). I have noticed a difference in my body as well. I no longer feel tense and my body feels more and more at peace and "in sync" after every visit. Also, I recommend the Chinese fire-cupping offered by Sabai as well... TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) is amazing! I have been a client at Sabai for several months. The services are worth every penny and my only regret is that I did seek the services of Sabai sooner! Pros: Friendly and knowledgable staff that know their practice, supurb ambiance, caring atmosphere Cons: None... honestly! more

Best head to toe rejuvenating experience 10/29/2008

Sabai is so welcoming you feel like you are like you are home. Josh or Jessika will offer you water or tea upon arrival and you can customize your massage to your taste. This goes way beyond choosing a scent. Try the head massage add-on for a total out of body experience. I have been a customer for over 4 years and would not go anywhere else for massage, acupuncture or Tai Chi classes! Pros: atmosphere, service, variety more

An Oasis in Uptown Minneapolis 10/29/2008

I have treated myself to a massage two times with Jessika. You feel relaxed as soon as you step into the door - the ambiance is incredibly calm, with soothing music, Eastern-style decorations, and a cool beverage before your treatment. I love the fusion of East-meets-West massage techniques, and I highly recommend the "Relax Mind" oil with your massage - Lime and Coconut - it makes you feel you are on the beach in Thailand! Jessika will take the time to talk to you before your massage to know what you are looking for. Get a massage here for complete relaxation, I highly recommend it!! more

Sabai Body Temple rocks 10/29/2008

I saw Jessika at Sabai. I have treated myself to one massage a month for a decade. Only a few were memorable. Jessika's was one. She is professionally trained, and it shows. She listens, she is fully present for the session, and never rushes. Her presence is so steady that I felt better the minute she stepped into the room. Actually, the bodywork really starts once you walk into Sabai and soak up the calming atmosphere. She and Josh have paid attention to every visual, aural, and olfactory detail, and the whole effect is greater than the sum of its parts. Men, if you've been seeking good bodywork in the Twin Cities, you probably know that it ranges from sublime to average to sleazy to outright dangerous. Sabai is in the sublime category. You're safe and you can feel good about telling your wife or partner about what happens there. more

A perfect escape! 10/29/2008

I can't explain how wonderful my experience at sabai was! When my husband and I went a few months ago, we may have walked in stressed and tense, but we basically floated out. I felt that Josh had pulled away years of stress, and felt even better in the subsequent days. Sabai is truly an oasis, you can leave everything burdening you at the door, and trust that you are in very capable hands! Thanks so much Jess and Josh! Pros: knowledge, service, atmosphere...oh! and the massages are great, too! more

Unique combination of ritual and elbow grease to leave you feeling amazing inside and out! 10/29/2008

Over the years I've had massages in a variety of environments from physical therapist's offices to Aveda salons and beyond....and my massages from Josh beat all other professionals, hands down. The environment at Sabai is soothing and peaceful without being too clinical or retail-y. Josh and the other staff at Sabai radiate a capacity for compassion and healing that, coupled with the environment, begin the process of slowing down and feeling better as soon as one walks in the door. I have had many massages here over the past year plus since I found Sabai, and I don't see the need to go anywhere else. The treatment rooms are clean, lovely, vibrant, unique, and peaceful. The treatment oils, teas etc. available at Sabai are wonderful, fragrant, and natural. Josh's massages are a unique combination of ritual and good old-fashioned elbow grease that always leave me feeling centered, relaxed, and frankly--beautiful! I highly recommend the "raindrop," which I believe has a new name now but it involves the systematic application of a series of oils on the back, coupled with massage and gentle heat to clear the mind and soul, soothe muscles, and detox the body--and it works. When you get up off of the table, as well as for several days after? You will feel...amazing!! Pros: atmosphere, value, service, kindness, parking Cons: ...that i can't go more often. :-( more

Major stress relief 10/29/2008

So I walked into Sabai with about 4 tons of stress on my shoulders and anxious shakes from the horrible downtown traffic that I just battled. It was like walking into a little haven of relaxation. The staff was very calming and very sympathetic to my stress level. Reflexology was something that I had never tried before but have done some studying about on my own. My first session at Sabai was amazing, the consultation, the work done and the post review were very helpful for me to keep in tune with my body. I am excited to try the other treatments that they offer as well as following up with more reflexology. I definitely walked out a different person and will be scheduling more treatments soon! Pros: Parking, special offers, great service, calming interior more

Terrific Massage-Teriffic Staff 6/28/2008

As a part of my road to retirement, I decided to treat myself to a monthly massage. A friend recommended Jessika; he is very choosy, and I was not disappointed. She is great, the atmosphere is welcoming, the setting is calming and the prices are great. I have also spoken with Josh about t'ai chi and I am excited about starting there as well.
