They came out to remove a clog on the washer/sink line. The charged a FLAT RATE of $225. While there, Mom asked them to check the bathroom sinks. They fixed it and charged her another $225!\r \r That's $450 for an hours worth of work.\r \r She wrote them a check, but didnt feel good about it. When I looked into and spoke to them ... Well thats 2 jobs and thats the price ....\r \r I called around and asked for estimates from several other plumbers ... the hour long job should have cost about $175.\r \r Mom feels cheated and taken advantage of by them. I emailed the local company owner after talking with the supervisor and we have not heard from him more

Roto-Rooter Plumbers/November 27,2011 11/27/2011

It was Sunday morning in Jacksonville Beach, Florida and I needed a Plumber. As the Father in the house I had mistakenly put some old spinach into the disposal thinking that, of course, it would take care of it. But it didn't and I ended up with the worse looking slimey mess in my sink that you can imagine. Who would have thought a disposal wouldn't grind up spinach? i called Roto-Rooter and George, the technician, was there within an hour and everything was taken care of. George told me that the list on what you can put into a disposal is very short as compared to those things you shouldn't put in. And explained why spinach clogs up the disposal and drain. Roto-Rooter saved me again. The service and work is the best for sure. more

Roto Rooter Plumber 10-30-2011 10/31/2011

Calling Roto Rooter for our home is like calling 9-1-1 for medical attention. We had an emergency plumbing problem on a Sunday, 10-30-2011 As soon as we had called Roto Rooter, the Dispatcher immediately had pullede up my info, and dispatched a Plumber to us right away. Within 10 minutes, the Plumber, Scott, knocked on our door! This was very amazing to us because on a previous occasion when we contacted a different plumbing company here in Jaksonville FL we waited at least 4 to 5 hours for their "emergency response!" Lesson learned! \r In our estimnation, Roto Rooter was staffed to handle emergency calls, whereas other cmpanies just SAY they are! Scott quickly and skillfully determined the problem, and professionally resolved the manner within a minimal amount of time. As he departed, we simply watched our "troubles go down the drain!" \r We werer delightred that Scott offeredf us a Roto Rooter product that should help to prevent such occurrences in the future.He was also willing to more

great service by Roto-Rooter 10/15/2011

First of all it's great to call a service and not have to go through punching a series of buttons to talk to someone. I had a leaking toilet and true to R-R word the plumber ( Scott A) was here within 2 hours. He started with one toilet rebuild and we ended with rebuilding 4 more (house 10 years old). Service was excellent and Scott cleaned up after each job. Will definitely recommend Scott (& Roto-Rooter) to my neighbors. more

Scott, the plumber that provided services to my home in Jacksonville, FL was awesome! He completed a full house drain cleaing AND discovered a leaky toilet that he was able to fix on the spot. Roto-Rooter September 25, 2011 9/28/2011

When the water would not drain from the kitchen sink, I opened the cabinet to get the plunger as I have been doing a lot lately. Used chemicals, plunged, used more chemicals then plunged some more. This had been going on for over a month. Only this particular day in Jacksonville, FL, when I opened the cabinet under the sink, water was pouring everywhere from the pipes. Guess all that plunging had damaged them. Made a call to Roto-Rooter and out came George. He labored over those pipes. He brought in one snake and after using it, decided he needed the big boy. He was so careful not to damage the laminate flooring and even had a mat to protect the floor while running the snake. George was so great. Hope to be able to call on him as our plumber, when the need arises. And you know it will!! more

Roto-Rooter Plumbers 092011 9/21/2011

This Morning I woke up to all the plumbing in my house backed up (YUK). I live alone and did not know what to do. I tried the plunger in both bathrooms, toliets and tubs. Nothing worked. I thought who to call that backs up there work and are very good plummers. I called Roto-Rooter Plumming in Jacksonville, Fl. I explaned to the girl and she had Scott at my house with-in an hour He explaned to me the problem and fixed it so fast. I'm am so PLEASED with Roto-Rooter in Jacksonville, Florida. Main Sewer Line Replacement 9/7/2011

I had a drainage problem where my kitchen sink was backing up into the bathtub, after trying numerous snakes and chemicals, we broke down and called Roto Rooter Jacksonville. The plumber came out and ran a snake through the line. After about 25 feet he kept pulling out large roots. He then advised us that the pipe probably was collapsing and because we live in an older home, the pipe was made out clay. He then said that we should have someone come out with the camera to determine the problem. Plumber Tech #2991came from Roto Rooter Jacksonville and ran the camera and determined that we need to replace both the line under the house and running to the city. I must say that Roto Rooter Jacksonville has the best professional plumbers. They're very courteous and very informative. We are very glad we called Roto Rooter Jacksonville! more

I have never had such a wonderful experience with a company before. The two men, Tom and Steve, that I dealt with first were thorough, helpful and went above and beyond to help me. I thank you both for being such shining examples of what we all should be. If anyone needs help with plumbing, these are the people to call. I would not have known that the damage (that was extensive) was someone else's negligence. They discovered it and promptly stopped all work so that I could call the people responsible and to take pictures. Thank you so very much. more

On Thursday Feb 17 I had sewer line stoppage at my home. Late Thurs it was determined that my sewer lines being almost 50 years old needed to be replaced. Arrangements were made for Friday the 18th. At 7:30 they arrived and made their list of material required or for the job. After getting their material they started working. I have never had anyone to come and work at my house who worked as hard as these two guys. They didn't finish the job till about 10:00 p.m. Friday nite. Thanks to Roto-Rooter and for John and George for a job well done. Roto-Rooter will be my preference in the future. more

Roto Rooter service 11/29/201 11/29/2010

I had a pretty bad slab leak so I called Roto Rooter and they came out the next morning. I opted for the re-pipe through the attic. Tony, Mike and Tom did a very professional job and they finished my 3 bathroom house in about 11 hours. I will definitely use their service again and I will recommend them to all my friends more

Drain Old and Gone 11/27/2010

My lavatory drain line came apart leading into the wall, this would be a simple fix if you lived in a newer home, but our home was built in 1952. But this did not stop Scott, he quickly check the area and came up with the fix, all in one hour and a price to fit our budget. more

I have\r had some smart plumbers at my home for repairs.\r However, I must say that from the day Alan Hargrove\r came to my door, I have only asked for him to repair\r my plumbing. Roto-Rooter Jacksonville/Orange Park, FL 9/29/2010

On 9/29/2010 I discovered my kitchen sink was leaking. Water was all underneath my cabinet. My husband and I are new to the area and didnt know who to call. I said a quick prayer that the Lord would direct us to someone and he did. I called Roto-Rooter in Jacksonville, FL and they sent a very nice man by the name of Scott out within an hour. He was so very helpful and professional. This was such an unexpected expense and we really feel it now that we are down to one income but I am thankful we had someone like Scott to fix our problem. more
