CONTINUED FROM PREVIOUS REVIEW: Other issues: The parking lot is destroyed with potholes all over the place. If we turn on more than 3 things at once, for example, our computer, TV, and microwave, we throw a breaker every time. The community has 2 water heaters, on our side on the complex, the water heater unit goes out at least once a month, with our side having no hot water at any given time. We have a basketball goal on our tennis court, which is great, I love it, BUT, we have people bouncing basketballs and playing at 3AM, and it's impossible to sleep when you hear the bouncing over and over and over. ALSO, like other reviews, the Pool and Hot Tub is loaded with Jerks, and Drunk fools every night, till at least 2AM or so. That's to be expected in a college town in apartments right? Yes, I agree, BUT, these people are not residents of this property, but yet, even though the New Manager acknowledges this is true and an ongoing issue, nothing has been done about it. Oh, and I hope you get lucky if you try to renew here. The apartments send out their renewal letters with an automatic increase of $70-$100 for any given term, and their plan is to have you argue that amount down, and when they do come down to the agreed upon amount, they say ""see, see what we do just for you"", while in reality, the amount you negotiated down to was a market rate rent anyway. The ones that do not argue their amounts down, well, they get jacked with the higher rent, for either not knowing any better, or taken advantage of by Ridgecrest and The Lynd Company. A friend of mine here pays $75 more a month than I do for the exact same apt. He didn't know any better, but he does now. Also, one of the most absurd claims and examples of false advertising I've ever seen came when I went into the office last Christmas to pay rent, I was waiting and saw a flyer sitting there marketing the property, it said ""Enjoy our Texas Sized Kitchen"", LOL, the Kitchens here are just as small as any other apartment I've ever seen, they are tiny, that was a straight up lie to market the property in that way. The one bright spot for this community is the maintenance crew. They respond quickly, are very friendly, and very helpful.
