Candy Haven is a great place for cakes. My husband and I used them for our wedding. We first set up an appointment to figure out what we wanted. When we got their they have a tray full of all kinds cakes for us to try. There were so many to try it was hard to decide. They did a great job on our cakes. With our wedding cake we got a free grooms cake that was wonderful. It was chocolate with chocolate icing with chocolate covered strawberries on top. I would recommend them to anyone needing a cake or just a delicous treat!!

Voertmen's is a fun place to go into and a great book store to find books for your university classes. I still go and buy canvases and art supplies there because they seem to have a very large selection of great supplies. They have a lot of art supplies for all the students. They also have a lot of UNT apparel. I still like to wonder around there from time to time. The prices are very good and priced for college students.

Fish N Chirps is a great little pet store. It is filled with all kinds of fish and birds. They hand raise their birds and buy their fish from local people. We have purchased many items from them. They carry both fresh and salt water fish. Their sales staff is friendly and knowledgeable. One thing we purchased was a baby cockatiel. They helped with all its needs and were very informative on what to do with her. Great place to go for fish or birds.

Crickettes Flowers is the best place in Denton to get your flowers. They make wonderful arrangements and are so quick about getting them delivered. I have been so impressed as to how long the flowers live after they are delievered. I have gotten so many thank you and compliments on the flowers I have sent from Crickettes. They are also a Telaflorist so they carry all the Telaflorist bouquets. I know they have a web site but I have never used it- I am sure it is a great as the store and the over the phone service!
PROS: Great flowers
CONS: Some arrangements can be expensive

This business is a family owned business with personalized service. It is both a men's and women's store with upper end clothing. Definitely a must shop for someone who enjoys fine clothing and detailed service. It is best to shop with an employee helping you. JTs is located behind Chilis.

I came in to look at some wedding dresses with my fiancee and was stunned by the number of beautiful dresses. While the shop is not very big, it does have its own tailoring department so you can get your clothes tailored the way you want them to be. The staff was very curteous and showed us around the place giving details about their dresses. While the location is somewhat difficult to navigate due to being at the heart of downtown, this shop is well worth the find.

I just love Recycled Books of Denton. We go there all the time just to look. They have every genre you can think of as well as DVD's and CD's. My husband teaches and we have even been able to find enough of one title for him to use in class. They are very helpful in helping you locate an item you are looking for. They also have a website that you can look up items and even email them and ask if they have a specific item you are looking for. My daughter just loves when we say we are going because she can always find something. They have a great childrens section. Just take some time and go wander around Recycled Books they are great!!
