I stayed in the hotel while visiting Columbia Missouri. Although it is not close to the University, Columbia is a small town so in five minutes, you can be anywhere.\r When I arrived, they did not have my reservation. Then they found it-- I had made it for a day earlier!! We were tired and checked in anyway. The following morning we talked to the manager, Rocky. He was great. Since we had prepaid for the wrong day, he let us use it for our stay.\r The hotel is clean, and is you basic standard mid-western chain hotel with no surprises. The rooms were large enough for two adults and two teenagers.\r Close to the highway, a grocery store is opposite, and may restaurants and Regional Hospital is close by. more

This hotel is located close to the interstate highway. It has a lot of room and the breakfast area was very nice. The rooms were clean. A breakfast is included with the price and there is an exercise room available for guests. There is also an area for kids to play and an indoor swimming pool. more

This two story structure was constructed about 45 years ago using laminated beams and joists and has held up well. The breakfast has hot eggs, meat and gravy plus the usual. This was a working trip, however the treat of soaking in the hot tub after a 12 hour job was delightful. more

I came into Columbia for the weekend for a Mizzou game and we all throughly enjoyed our experience. Few hotels anymore have an indoor pool and a bar. The rooms were fine and all of them had their own refrigerators and microwave ovens. The inside of the hotel is really unique with plenty of space and comfort. In addition, the entire staff was polite and even seemed to go out of their way to be friendly. And the breakfast was excellent...even after a late night. The bar itself was surprisingly big and fully stocked with an exceptional bartender named Dave who talked sports with us (and even politics after some prodding by us). All in all, we had no complaints and would definitely recommend this to others. more

I stayed at this hotel for a football weekend and my comments about this hotel do not come close to how great this place is. While my kids played in the indoor pool my husband and I had time to read a book and catch up with eachother. It was like a home away from home. Plus the staff is very nice, Julie is very sweet and helped us with everything. The girls who work the front desk in morning, I believe their names are Spencer and Blair have cheerful attitudes and up beat personalities. This hotel is honestly a very special place and I would defenitly stay again more

This is the place for parents of Mizzou students--I am in my third year of being a MU parent--and have stayed at the Quality Inn each and every time--while this is an older place, each time I have had a nice clean room--wonderful hot tub and pool (deep even!) to swim in...plus the nice hot breakfast and pleasant staff, especially julie... I will continue to stay at this Quality inn-- more

Stayed at this place that has great inside dome and it seems property went through a lot of upgrades. New Jaccuzi, new pool, new carpeting. All the rooms had wonderful new bedding. I was informed that new mangement recently took over and made all wonderful changes. Breakfast was wonderful. I tell you for the price of stay and full hot breakest it is really a deal. Hot scrambled eggs with beacon, biscuits and gravey was great. Also had options of juice, cereal, muffins. It just does not fee like a motel once you are inside. Staff was also wonderful more

Been staying there 6-8 times a year for the last 2-3 years and have been pleased with the service. Always got smiling friendly faces at checkin. Rooms clean and spacious, fridge and micro in some. Hot tub and pool a great way to relax--good plus. Breakfast another plus. Not some cheap biscuit and donut thing but a really good small buffet. more

It is an older hotel but you can tell that they have done many upgrades. Excellent breakfast, the best I have found in all my travels. The pool are was great the kids had a blast. Melanie was a great help, she helped us find a room around the pool and even delivered towels and toothbrushes to the room for us. Great staff all around!! more

I was traveling alone something I had never done before in a strange city. When I arrived at the hotel I was not sure by the looks of the outside if I would feel very safe. I had booked the hotel online and paid in advance. I sat in the parking lot and called my husband and told him of my concerns. He said why don't you go on inside and see what you can do about canceling your reservation. I figured I wouldn't be able to cancel it but, I could try. \r \r I walked in the front door and immediatly I knew I had worried for no reason. The lobby was very inviting and the lady at the front desk was just as nice as one could be. I told her that I was in town to surprise someone who was graduating in Ashland and I wasn't sure how to get there. She pulled out a map and highlighted it for me and said I would have no trouble. After getting my room keys I was feeling pretty safe and content with my choice of hotel. Which was a good thing, since I would be staying for 3 nights. The room was not fancy but it was about right for the price. I had no problems while I was there.\r \r The indoor pool is of good size & the atrium is gorgous. There are video games for the kids and a pool table. There is also a nice little bar. \r \r The Continental Breakfast was fabulous. The bacon, eggs, biscuits & gravy put 3 extra pounds on me. Good thing I didn't eat the pastries, bagels and cereal they had. \r \r All in all my experience was very pleasant. I will book this hotel the next time I am in Columbia. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 7/31/2013

The pool and hot tub and nice, but small so you're crowded with other guests, and the walls are sort of thin so you can hear everything. Our room was by the pool so we could hear small children playing in the water until 11pm when the hotel enforced it's pool closing time. Everything else about the hotel met my expectations. I would stay there again. more

This hotel is a good place to stay at. Its is under new management. The new manager and the staff were great. The breakfast was great. The swimming and the hot tub was very clean. The property is old but kept in very good condition. Excelent amenities. Will bring my family to columbia and stay at this location. Had a drink before going to sleep. Hotel has video games and pool table. more

After a fast check-in we enjoyed a pleasant evening in the clean, quiet room. The free breakfast the next moring was great - Biscuts and gravy, scrambled eggs and bacon, muffins, coffee and tea. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 6/18/2013

The staff was very helpful and friendly, very attentive. The breakfast buffet was good and a great incentive to stay at QIC.\r The heat in our room didn't work very well, and we had to ask for blankets which were promptly brought to us. Also, our sink backed up and the hotel could not fix it until we had left the next day for a campus tour. (Had to use the tub water?!?!?)\r Young teens were running around the pool area being noisy, after 11pm, and the echo from the enclosed pool area was loud enough to be heard in our room, (which was on the second floor, the farthest room from the pool!) more
