Pro Tow Wrecker Service

I had gotten my car towed early Sunday morning. I had thought that it was going to be okay to try to run to the store before the weather got really bad. I slide off the roadway coming back from the store. I called the nearest company. I read some of the reviews online and I was very hesitant on calling but I really just wanted to get back home to my family. The lady on the phone was super sweet and so very caring. It was really relieving that she acted as if I was the only person on the road at that time and was the most important. I think I waited no longer than 45 minutes and Pro Tow showed up.He immediately asked me to get inside of the truck to stay warm as he pulled my car out. I was very worried I had damaged something but he assured me that I was just off barely and just in grass. It took him less than 5 minutes to get my car out. He even offered to tow me home to make sure I made it home okay. I was amazed after reading the reviews how professional and kind Pro Tow was. I would use them again if I ever find myself in a tough situation. more

Horrible service. Gieco arranged for them to tow my husbands motorcycle. We were told one hour. After an hour & a half I called them and was told someone would be there in an hour. Two hours later I call back and they say they don't know why the guy hasn't showed up. Had Gieco call them and they gave some story about a cable being broken. Worst tow company I have ever done business with! more

\r On Sunday July 21st I came out side to go to work a seen that my car was gone so I called the Lewisville police station to see if they knew of anything on my car I spoke to a officer and they told me they had no information on my car getting repo or towed so they came to my apartment to file a stolen car report. I contacted my apartment to tell them that my car was stolen and my manager of the apartment was helpful and did not know anything about my car. I took of two days of work and had to cancel my credit cards and call SS cause my purse was left in my car. On Tuesday the 23rd my manger from the apartment called me and said the tow company had my car and that they did not know anything about this nor police did not know as well I asked them why they did not call the apartment or police they did not know why I contacted police to let them know of this. That night I went to pick my car up and spoke to them why they did not contact the police or apartment and why did they pick my car up they did not have a reason but they got a phone call from my apartment manager at 245 am that it was in a fire zone that was wrong they did not get a call I have all the proof to prove that a letter from my apartment and police they gave my car back at no charge but when I got it back there is a hole in the back of it and also I would like justice on this I missed two days of work no pay had to get a rental through my insurance and call ss worried sick that my car was stolen \r more

The absolute worst service I've ever experienced. I believe the girl up fronts name was Lisa and she was a complete bitch. We stood up at the front desk for about 10 minutes before anyone ever turned around and that was after I knocked on the window and she rudely turned around and said ""You need to give a minute"" and then finished her rude conversation with me with a sarcastic ""Have a fantastic day"". We waited for over an hour to get our car moved from middle of the lot. They overcharged us for no reason to even be towed. I don't recommend this place to anyone. Worst service ever. more

Stay away. These jerks would not release the title to me on an auctioned car. would not answer the phone.. would not respond to email ..would not respond to messages..would not send paper work in the mail ...almost completely crooked... in cahoots, apparently, with Lewisville police rude, unresponsive, nasty. more

This company is unethical, wife went to visit friend at apartment complex and they took her car and then proceeded to charge her $275 before they would give it back. There were no signs and my wife was only there a couple of hours. more

Never use this company. They are filled with jerks-arrogant ---smelley men. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS AGAIN WITH THEM!!!!! more

The police call these guys, you are charged for towing, labor for towing, mileage and a per day rate, which is not discussed with you at the time of the tow. I wanted another tow company to pick up the car but the car was on the truck when I got there. ...over $500.00 dollars. My towing company quoted $125.00. Cons: Several more

I am very unhappy with my Pro Tow experience today. They highly underquoted the amount of time it would take to get to my house which is less than 4 miles from their place of business. I understand that they were busy, but if they would have provided me with an accurate quote I would have called another company and not ended up waiting almost 2 hours for my car to get picked up. I was equally frustrated with their hold message that spoke about good customer service when I didn't feel I was receiving good service. I did a dumb thing and got my self stuck on a island about a two feet wide with my left tire stuck between the grass and the two concrete curbs next to the Star Bucks in Lewisville , while the right tire hung over the curb and wedged my self in there very good,. No one was around , or actually no one bothered to help, about 7:30pm on 2/26/09 I was stuck so called 911.Lewisville dispatch sent me a lewisville captain or of some sort and he told me he would call a trucking company to get me off the curb I wonder as well if this captain or THE LEWISVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT HAS A CUT FROM THIS SCAM AS WELL.. meanwhile I waited 20-30 min which was ok and another officer arrived to make sure i was alright and stayed with me until the trucking company arrived, well there was the Pro trucking and they hooked me up real fast and got me off the Curb in a jiffy and said mam that will be $153.00 . I thought he was kidding and he wasn't, I paid that radiculous amount and drove home crying, a days wages. I called Pro wrecking next day and they said private tow is $50 but because OFFICER CALLED its was $153. THATS JUST OUTRAGEOUS AND WHAT A rip off, I give you guys a ""0"" and I will be taking further action so others dont get scammed on a 5 minute job. UNBELIEVABLE. I want to hear from others as well, this towing company has been in deep water for scamming people in the past. DO NOT TRUST. Drivers are great and trucks are clean. Receptionist that answered the phone for me obviously hates her job and herself. She was miserable and very rude, acted like she didnt know what I was taking about, not at all helpful or nice. more

I got in a wreck and Lewisvlle police called out Pro Tow to take care of the scene. The driver that got there was so nice and very understanding to my needs. As you can imagen I was just a little freaked out about the hole thing. I was rear ended and having the worst day of my life. I wanted to thank the driver who helped me with my car because he did a nice job and was so very nice. After all said and done my car went back to there lot so my insurance could come out and look at it. The ladies in the office around 6pm where so very nice and friendly. You always want someone on your said when something like this happens I was glad that Pro Tow was there that day! Thank You again for all you help! Every need was ment like I needed! I have been having trouble with a car I brought and I have to say ProTow did a great job for me and was on time. Clean drivers and clean trucks can't say that about anyone else who have towed me. Not only that but the driver went out of his way to take me home after dropping my car off at the dealer ship. You know you have to understand that company get backed up and can run late. I had great service and will use them again. Thank You again for you service! Just wish I could remember the driver that towed me.....lol more

I broke down on 35 just coming into Lewisville and Pro Tow was there to save the day. Call in for the tow was told driver would be there in 45 mins no later then 30 did the driver show up. He was very very nice polite and did a great job on towing my car. Office people were great and very nice over the phone and answered any question that I had at the time. WELL DONE PRO TOW!!!! more

My wife's car recently broke down in Carrollton (we live in Plano). The Hyundai roadside assistance selected Pro-Tow to handle the job and told me it would be there in 45 minutes. I drove over to where the car was to wait on the driver. After an hour, I called Pro-Tow, they said it would be another 30 minutes. Forty five minutes I called again and was put on hold while they checked - which meant I had to listen to their ad which stated they set the bar for service - seems the bar must be laying in the dirt. They once again told me it would be another 30 minutes - I asked if that was the best they could do since they had 30 trucks and the initial timeframe was 45 minutes. They said yes, that's the best they could do. more

To the guy that thinks his stuff was stolen. He leaves out the fact that he left his car unlock on the side of 190. Also why is it always the wrecker services fault who to say that the people at the dealership didn't do it. Also why has there never been a police report seems like someone trying to get something for nothing. And to the person that thinks $70 dollars is too much have you seen the prices of fuel lately, or do you even have a clue that those trucks aren't free they cost over 80,000. BMW assist called this company to tow my car. I was not there when the car was towed, so I was instructed to leave the key in the center console. Therefore, the tow truck driver was required to open the center console to get the key. My $300 iPod was in the center console also. When I next saw the car at the BMW dealership, the iPod was gone. BMW had not touched the car yet, and had not worked on it. Yet, this sad, sloppy, insolent company will not take responsibility for the stolen iPod. Their driver denies having stolen it. Surprise, surprise. Did they actually think he would admit he stole it?? Apparently, that's good enough for them, but not good enough for me. I will be pressing charges. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE IRRESPONSIBLE, RUDE, BELLIGERENT, and draw your own conclusions about whether they are also CRIMINALS! Cons: stolen items, rude employees and managers, irresponsible ownership, too many to list more

My wife & I went to the skating rink at Grapevine Mills Mall to watch a friends daughter perform. Returning to the parking lot we discovered our RR tire was quite flat. Reaching for the equipment to mount the spare, the lug nut wrench was missing (?!). Several folks in the parking lot offered the use of theirs to no avail. Too big or too small. more

My car broke down in the drive way of my apartment. I called to get a quote to tow it into my garage from this company which is right down the road from where I live. The receptionist was extremely rude and disrespectful. She asked what I needed and I began to explain and then she put me on hold for a long time. When she finally came back on the line she asked my location and I tried to tell her that I just wanted a quote before she started sending someone out here. After repeating myself numerous times I finally got a quote out of her. They were going to charge me $70 DOLLARS to tow my car about 5 yrds. When I asked her what exactly that $70 entailed she refused to explain and sat there in silence. Needless to say I did not use them and would never recommend them to anyone else. My auto repair shop recommended Pro-Tow when my car had stopped in a grocery store parking lot. They charged me for a 25 mile trip plus an additional fuel charge when the actual distance was 10.4 miles. They couldn't give me an estimate of the cost before providing the services because the driver said he didn't know how far the shop was. This is Coppell to Addison, for reference. My repair shop said the expected charge for that distance was usually about $50-$60 but these guys charged me $110. Buyer beware.
