The Pima Air and Space Museum offers three different kinds of tours. The first time we went there, we did the walking tour. It was exciting to see three different hangars with different types of aircrafts. The second time we went there, we took the bus. We had to go back to return the diaper bag to the car because, for safety reasons, only one small carry-on item was allowed per passenger in the bus. We enjoyed this tour better than the walking tour... the cooler environment made it a more pleasant experience for the family. The kids enjoyed it, but I think an hour-an hour and a half worth of walking/sitting/listening was too much for my children's short attention span. The water cooler that are placed in certain locations of the museum kept the kids busy. They enjoyed competing on who would find the next water station. This, by the way, was a nice touch considering we have these hot summers.
I do recommend going here if you want to learn about the great planes of the past and how they were used. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Be sure to bring your ID because they do check it.
