What a very educational day out for the family. If you have someone in the family that loves aviation this is the place for you. The tram tours are really worth it if you have kids. My kids didn't want to do the walking tour so the tram was perfect. You also get to see the Titan Missile Museum. This was my favorite part of the day. It was like going back in time to the Cold War. The Musuem is the only Titan II missile site in the country that the public can access. The cafe serves hamburgers and hotdogs which are great kid food. Prices are very reasonbale considering we usually spend the whole day. Kids six and under are free which is a great perk when you're taking the whole family. more

Pima Air and Space Museum 8/18/2005

The Pima Air and Space Museum offers three different kinds of tours. The first time we went there, we did the walking tour. It was exciting to see three different hangars with different types of aircrafts. The second time we went there, we took the bus. We had to go back to return the diaper bag to the car because, for safety reasons, only one small carry-on item was allowed per passenger in the bus. We enjoyed this tour better than the walking tour... the cooler environment made it a more pleasant experience for the family. The kids enjoyed it, but I think an hour-an hour and a half worth of walking/sitting/listening was too much for my children's short attention span. The water cooler that are placed in certain locations of the museum kept the kids busy. They enjoyed competing on who would find the next water station. This, by the way, was a nice touch considering we have these hot summers. I do recommend going here if you want to learn about the great planes of the past and how they were used. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Be sure to bring your ID because they do check it. more

Pima Air and Space Museum 8/9/2005

The Pima Air and Space Museum is home to hundreds of old planes. You can spend your whole day here looking at the different planes. My favorites were the former airforce one, they let you go inside it. I also like the sr-71 blackbird, it is really cool. If you like airplanes you HAVE to go here. If you dont want to walk alot they have a bus that will take you around. more
