Pier Twenty-One

I and two other friends went to Pier Twenty-One on Jan 14th, 2009. It is a small bar to have so much to offer. Pool table, machines, food and the drinks are priced right! But what I want to say is THANK YOU Pete for your KJing you were a blast and I enjoyed singing Lita Ford/Ozzy with you...I wish more KJ's were as friendly and fun as you were...we will be back and we will bring more fun with us! With regard to ""dgarcias""‎ review of Pier 21, we would first like to extend our appologies for her experience with the woman that was in charge of the Karaoke at that time. \r We would like to extend her an invitation to try us again and feel compelled to point out four relevant facts. \r 1. The KJ in question by ""dgarcias‎"" has not been doing it since the Thursday she visited Pier 21.\r 2. It has been discovered that ""dgarcias‎"" is also a friend of ""Cuz"" who did the KJ duties for ""Karaoke with Kat"" prior to being released by the karoke service owner, Kat and was replaced with the KJ she had a problem with due to complaints about ""Cuz"". The review of ""dgarcias‎"" is suspect to us in this manor.\r 3. ""Karaoke with Kat"" at Pier 21 is now hosted by a very good and energetic KJ named Pete.\r 4. ""Karaoke with Kat"" is an outside service provider to Pier 21. Our only input to who works for ""Karaoke with Kat"" is when someone has a complaint with the service, properly lodged with us. It would have been more mature had ""dgarcias‎"" even once talked with us concerning her experience rather than write a public review of Pier 21 as she was not alone.\r \r Pier 21 is a Sports / Nightclub bar. We aren't the biggest but we are clean and now smoke free and offer a ""Cheers Bar"" type atmosphere for our customers everyday. If you visit, you will be welcomed by our clientel like no other place in the valley. We feature a full bar and a simple food menu anytime we are open.\r Thursdays are Karaoke Night from 8:00 PM till close featuring Pete at the controls.\r Friday and Saturday nights we feature some of the best Live Local bands from the area from 9:00 PM till close.\r Our personal background will have us supporting the regulars who continue to frequent our bar as well as the local music scene. Went in on a Thurs. night, which was Karaoke night. The K.J. ladies were very personable & you could tell people there were having fun~not just me. It isn't a very fancy bar, has a kind of sports theme to it. It'd be great if it was non-smoking especially since it was extremely smoky & hot in there. But I'll probably go back because the people were so friendly, like they really wanted me there. I told some friends of mine about going there & they said they have good bands on Fri & Sat nights too. The drinks are reasonably priced compared to what you get at other bars. Overall, I'd say it's not quite a dive~no fights broke out & the people seemed safe. I liked it.
