Very DISAPPOINTED in Pheasant Run 4/23/2007

We had booked 3 rooms to celebrate both of our daughters birthdays. We had no hot water for showers. We had to drive around a good 10 - 15 minutes to find a parking spot then we ended up parking at the complete opposite end where our rooms were located. They claim to take their comment cards seriously- evidently they don't. All of us sent them in 6 weeks ago and none of us has ever heard a work from them. more

A classic resort 5/28/2006

I have heard some people say they this place is kind of cheesy or touristy, but I still think it's an amazing place! This is the perfect idea for an upcoming birthday, anniversary or a weekend getaway. There is so much to do here and everything is first class all the way. A great hotel, restaurants, spas, pool, shopping, you name it. There's also a live theater and comedy club. I think you will love this resort. more

Memories... 1/8/2006

Ever since I can remember, this resort has been on North Avenue. I've been to their dinner and a theater (very good), I've been there for a wedding (very good), I've also spent the night in one of their luxury condo-like rooms. EXCELLENT. Very expensive, but for a special occasion (it was my wedding night), a very impressive place. It had three TVs (one downstairs, and two up) In fact, they also had a game station in the 'sitting room' off the bedroom. And the bathroom! Oh my god, it was the size of a bedroom, with a jacuzzi bath and everything. more

Check out the brunch buffet! 9/23/2005

Come hungry! This is a great place to go and fill up! It is located inside the Pheasant Run Inn and features a large spread of many kinds of food. It also features live music. There was an enormous fruit and deli table, a place where one could get fresh belgium waffles, every breakfast food imaginable (pancakes, eggs benedict, sausage, bacon, etc, etc), a station that made your own custom omelet, a station that created your own custom stir-fry (this was the best one, IMO), a large extravagant dessert table (a must!) plus a table with many entrees to choose from. The service is lovely as they take away all your plates and dirty things immediately and offer you drink refills as necessary. I enjoyed it more than I should have and wish I would have come hungrier! more

Decent Resort in the middle of nowhere! 8/24/2005

Okay, Saint Charles isn't the middle of nowhere exactly, but it's a small town. The Pheasant Run Inn is in a good location - right across the street from a Target, Wal-Mart and a bunch of places to eat. There's also a cafe, a restaurant, a theatre, quite a few pools and a couple of golf courses on the resort grounds. The rooms are a little outdated, but they are clean. Internet access is pricey - $10 a day and it's not even 24 hours, just from check in time to check out time. There is complimentary water and coffee in the rooms, as well as cable TV. I ordered a pay moviev and the sound quality was awful so I called the front desk and they happily reversed the charge. Overall, a decent place to stay, although the Hilton Garden Inn across the street seems nicer if you just want a hotel and don't need all the other activities. more

Dinner Theater in the Suburbs 8/23/2005

Located in the Pheasant Run Resort, the live dinner theater is a nice retreat located outside the big scale theaters in downtown Chicago. The dinner theater features large production shows in a small, intimate setting. There are no bad seats in the theater. Patrons are treated to a nice, multi course menu prior to the theater show. You dine where you will watch the show. The environment is suitable for a romantic evening or a night out with family and friends. Ticket prices are affordable when compared with the larger theaters. One can also opt to just purchase a theater ticket without the dinner option. There are also many other restaurants, spa, shops, etc., that one can visit before/after the show that are located on the resort site. more
