This tea parlour has become a serious disappointment. We had been coming to this tea parlour for years. While It's still just as cute as before, the service sucked and the price sucked and the serving size and the scone really sucked! I used to leave this place full. I had to come home and make a sandwich! (Really!) I really wouldn't have minded the price change if the serving size had stayed the same and the quality of food were as good as before. The mean old lady (new owner) charged $17 plus tax PLUS a 20% tip for one plate of three of the tiniest sandwiches (we used to get 6), 3 tiny pieces of fruit (we used to get a whole plateful), and a very small dried-out scone (it used to be much larger with devonshire cream imported from England) and a small slice of Costco cake (it used to be a 3-tiered tray of various delicate sweeties). Oh yeah...one small teapot of hot water with one (seriously, ONE) tea bag in it. Don't you dare ask for more, or she'll charge 2 more dollars plus tax plus 20% tip for it. And if you make a reservation, you'd better be sure you all make it or she'll charge you for the missing person (yes...even if it is a child who is at Urgent Care with a fever and hives). When I told her she had lost my business, she just smiled (very b*****-like) and said "thank you!" and tacked on the 20% gratuity! Now we eneed a new tea parlour.. Cons: Shrunken serving size and 20% gratuity tacked on more

The women in my family & I have been coming here for years. It used to be owned by an older Englishwoman, but she recently sold it and since then it's maintained most of its charm, although I have noticed it go down just a touch. The scones aren't as big as before and the quality of the cookies are very Trader Joe's (which isnt necessarily a bad thing, but when you're going out, you dont really want to see the same thing you have at home). Anyway, the place is very girly-girly with lots of hats and boas to choose from so you can dress up while having your tea -- this is one of the very few tea houses where dress up is still an option. The teas are great --they use Twinings & Republic of Tea-- and it's only like $15 for adults and 1/2 that for children. There are TONS of frilly things for sale, Victorian-style picturess on the walls you can buy, tea sets, scone mix, candles... the list goes on. All in all, it's a charming spot for some tea & finger sandwiches (love the cucumber & butter and the egg salad). Pros: Tea, Dress up option, quaint setting Cons: Sweets are store bought, not homemade more
