Review content:
The women in my family & I have been coming here for years. It used to be owned by an older Englishwoman, but she recently sold it and since then it's maintained most of its charm, although I have noticed it go down just a touch. The scones aren't as big as before and the quality of the cookies are very Trader Joe's (which isnt necessarily a bad thing, but when you're going out, you dont really want to see the same thing you have at home). Anyway, the place is very girly-girly with lots of hats and boas to choose from so you can dress up while having your tea -- this is one of the very few tea houses where dress up is still an option. The teas are great --they use Twinings & Republic of Tea-- and it's only like $15 for adults and 1/2 that for children. There are TONS of frilly things for sale, Victorian-style picturess on the walls you can buy, tea sets, scone mix, candles... the list goes on. All in all, it's a charming spot for some tea & finger sandwiches (love the cucumber & butter and the egg salad).
Pros: Tea, Dress up option, quaint setting
Cons: Sweets are store bought, not homemade
