Palace West

Despite the fact that this theatre is the black Sheep of the Warren family of theatre's, it offers movies at a great price and with professional staff to keep it a place all can go without worry. I do wish the Warren Corporation would put just a little of their profits iinto redecorating this place to make it more appealing to the eye amd chairs softer one's bottom. Pros: Prices, staff is great, parking Cons: seats are old & hard, decor needs update more

The Palace is the only theatre I'll patronize. The $2 price for all seats can't be beat. The refreshments are very nicely priced, and if you get a large drink or popcorn, you get a free refill on that day. The bathrooms are the only problem area--they are usually wrecked (tp on the floor or not there at all, some of the doors won't lock, one of the hand dryers only blows cold air). Everything else about the place is great. The carpet, neon light and shadow decorations are nice touches. The movies aren't first run, but I'm not so impatient that I have to see a new release. I prefer to wait and save some money. There are a bunch of restaurants in the very immediate vicinity, and a friend and I make it a weekly event--dinner and a movie a the Palace! I like the West Palace. Even though only two auditoriums have THX sound, the cloth is coming off some of the walls, and the movies are Sub run, its still a great place to take the family on the spur of the moment. Or,in my case, see two movies for less than it costs to see one elsewhere! Concessions are also decently priced, with good selection. This theater could stand to have some upkeep however, as I found some auditoriums have the cloth peeling from the walls, or broken seats among other things. The employees are also young and it shows in the service. Features after 11PM showings for the night owls (me) too. Overall an excellent alternative to home movie rentals! -Ian.
