I paid approx $3600 for this rental only to discover upon arrival that the place was filthy, dirty clothes in the bedroom, empty drink bottles on the floor, leather couch had a dirty film on it with what appered to be dried body fluid on one of the cushions, body hair in the bathtub and on the bathroom floor, beer caps were strown about the property and in the pool, and hazardous chemicals were left sitting by the pool(we had four small children). The living room fan was broken revealing electrical wires. The outside was unkept, an outside refrigerator contained sand, the yard had not been mowed, and the advertised grill on premises was half standing. The management was uncooperative, refused to refund our money, refused to locate another place for us. I have filed a small claims suit against them with the outcome pending. Anne Flood is a Myrtle Beach business owner who cares nothing about customer satisfaction. Appx 45 days after returning from my Myrtle Beach vacation, I noticed that I had not received my $100 deposit back from Old Colony Realty. I contacted Anne and she said that had 2 options. The 1st option was to wait 90 days so that the check could automatically cancel or I could pay $30 for her to place a stop payment on the check. I asked her why was I being penalized for something that I did not cause. She said that it was unfortunate but she was not taking $30 of her profits to please a customer. I informed her that I would be cbe reporting her and she said that was perfectly okay with her. I think that her customer service, or LACK THEREOF is totally unacceptable and I would not recommend anyone to use their service because they absolutely care nothing about the customers they serve.
