ROYAL treatment and going back for MORE 1/5/2007

Let me first tell you that for 20 years I have made a living writing customer service evaluation reports for hundreds of mystery shopping companies and clients - BUT THIS ONE IS COMPLETELY ELECTIVE and I am not being reimbursed or paid to write about my experiences described herein……….. After losing my “nail lady” prior to the season’s holiday festivities, I was looking for a new salon……..A friend told me about The Nail Forum so I stopped by the Porter Ranch location the evening before (Wed) and they were unable (unwilling?) to work me in. Even the next morning I called [Porter Ranch] and was put off until the weekend or even later for the 2 seemingly simple services I was requesting…………. So, I did some research online and was pleasantly surprised to find good reviews from the Valencia Crossroads site, after Googling *nail forum reviews* so I called for a same day appointment (Thurs) and was given a choice or two of available times that fit right into my plans for the day so I rushed on over to the salon to find the most energetic and welcoming staff ever !! (The receptionists are a bit younger and not quite as professional – they spend a lot of time on personal calls and such- but they DO make appointments) I needed a pink/white back fill (remember they were neglected since late Nov) and JOHN was able to make them look as though he had just given me a brand new set. He was especially helpful in getting them back to the square shape I prefer. KUDOS !! The whole place was a *buzz* of positive energy and the attendants were so polite – it seemed everyone was friends !! In fact, I met a girl that works at another [nearby] Nail Forum site who comes to Valencia Crossroads for her own services !! What does THAT say for THIS staff? I was impressed that even though the general dialect is different, they were respectful enough to speak in English – even among themselves. I always found this to be so insulting and rude in surrounding competitor’s shops. MORE KUDOS !! Next, as I sat in the next chair with MiMi for my hot stone therapy [deluxe] pedicure, I actually forgot for a moment or two where I was – it was SO DARN comforting and relaxing….(mask, exfoliation, callus attention and massage ….and more lotion …..and over an hour in length) MORE AND MORE KUDOS !!! Then I overheard a gal [come in] rave about Amy and the wonderful job she did on her eyebrows – so I asked AMY to squeeze me in – she was very accommodating. After the eyebrow arching and some spontaneous facial hair waxing, I just HAD to talk her into a facial later on in the evening – and I did !! It was the best one I’ve had in several months…...at half the price of other salons. She was knowledgeable and patient and I feel she went above and beyond with 2 different masks – Dermalogica- suited for my specific needs. She’s a great esthetician and has hundreds of hours in acupressure massage therapy. GUESS WHO I WILL NOW GO TO FOR MASSAGES?!?!?!? Last but not least, I forgot to mention the 5 min complimentary neck and back massage that is offered [if available] to those waiting for their service – I spent 15 minutes in his chair and it took months of stress from my neck in just this short amount of time !! MORE KUDOS !! In all, [unexpectedly] I spent over 5 hours with this *happy* group and I WILL DEFINITELY RETURN TO THIS LOCATION and recommend to all family, friends and acquaintances. Thanks so much to the efficient staff and the lucky owner [who is described as “friendly and fair” by the attendants] Please, keep this successful team together in one place. SEE YOU SOON !!! more

a wonderful pedicure. 8/11/2005

Nail Forum is a great place to get a pedicure. Their spa chairs are amazing. They're always very clean and sterile with their tools. They're manicurists don't always speak English, as with most other spa's of that type. But they are very good with what they do. Their only downfall is their reception. They're usually teenagers that act annoyed. But still great overall. more

A great place to relax with a great pedicure. 7/30/2005

Nail Forum is very clean. They sanitize their tools well. It's centrally located making it very convenient for me. It's a little tough to get a same day appointment so make your appointment several days in advance. Their spa pedicure is wonderful. My wife gets her nails done there and they look great all the time. more

Really nice salon 7/28/2005

I love The Nail Forum because of it's seating capacity. You can almost always get a last minute reservation and you will get superior service. The salon is very clean and they even scrub the tubs after they are done while you are still sitting there. They can do nail art on your fingernails and toenails. Its fun to get a flower and crystal for the summer time on your toes! more
