My Choice Medical Center

I would have never dreamed I would have found myself in this situation, but one missed period and a positive pregnancy test sent me into a tail spin. When I called up Planned Parenthood to make an appointment for a termination they were booked for the following two weeks :( I decided to call up My Choice. It was after 11 at night and a helpful woman was on the other end, she answered all of my questions and told me I could come in for the medical abortion the next morning. As soon as I arrived the same woman from the night before guided me to a private room for me to fill out my paper work. The entire staff was sensitive and caring. The doctor told me exactly what to expect when I would take the second set of pills and wrote me a prescription for some pain medication. I had some questions the morning I was going to take the second set so I called. It was so nice to have a live, informed, caring professional available :) She even called me that evening to see how I was doing. It was not easy, I can assure you, but I think taking the pain medication BEFORE the second set of pills made it a whole lot easier for me. At my follow up appointment they set me up with a program for birth control which I never miss a day of now! This was not an ideal situation, I know that, but if someone I care about finds themselves in the same situation I am going to take them myself to My Choice. Thanks. more

but. . .I found myself in a sticky situation. I go to school full time and I was already a few weeks late for my cycle. We had used protection so I honestly was caught completely off guard when the pregnancy test came out positive. I thought this type of thing happened to other girls, not me. As soon as saw the results, I hit up google for doctors around that did abortions. I called a few places off of WEB MD and I couldn't believe how much some of these places wanted to charge let alone how long they wanted me to wait for an appointment. If matters couldn't have been tough enough, already. Then I decided to come here and do a search. I read all the great reviews and checked out the website. By this time it was well past midnight, and they aren't kidding when they say 24 hour hotline. The girl answered the phone, answered all of my questions, told me that I could schedule as early as the next day, which just so happened to be Saturday. I made up my mind to go in and the very same girl who answered the phone was there to help me with the paperwork at the office. It was cool because they let my best friend come in with me and I felt totally supported. When it came time to meet the doctor he was very kind and understanding, which was very cool. The girl from My Choice sat with me the entire time and it just meant so much to know that total strangers cared so much about me and what I was going through. Even though it was a Saturday, and I knew the staff must have families and other obligations, I didn't feel rushed at all and felt such love surrounding me, however hokie that may sound. This was ""my choice"" and the time for me to start a family isn't right now. It will be someday, but not right now. These people have heart. No doubt about it and they aren't out to make a quick buck. They are very reasonable and professional. If my own sister found herself in the same situation, I would bring her to 'My choice."" Like the other reviewer said. . .""no on ever wants to get an abortion."" It is just great that I had the option. So if you guys ever get around to reading this, Thanks. I am so happy that I found such a place in a time that I really needed support. The lady who answered my call on the phone was sooooooo supportive. She even provided transportation for me to come and go to my appointment. The doctor was so gentle and sincere. Everyone made my choice feel like the right one. Thanks more
