I found them to be very informative and helpful. The staff spent a lot of time discussing my options with me. I was told at a different hospital that my pet needed bloat surgery and would not survive the surgery so I should euthanize. I went to Mission and they performed the surgery and now three weeks later my dog is doing great. What else to say>??? The office was clean and nice. I waited 2 1/2 hours while they performed the surgery and everyone was great. They had a tv in the waiting room which helped pass the time. Went in last night because my cat had a urinary infection. While I was their a lady was out front crying because she had lost he job and didn't have the money to treat her pet. The owner of the hospital came out and personally sat down with her. Spent about twenty minutes talking about the economy and how tough times are for everyone (including his hospital). He explained to the owner that he could not treat her cat for free but he was willing to work with her. The owner bluntly asked for a dollar amount she had to spend. The owner gave him a number that was about half the estimate. From that point the owner customized a treatment plan to fit her budget, He explained it was not the best plan but it was better then not helping the pet. more

These guys are as good as it gets. They are open late at night, weekends and holidays. When everyone else is closed you can count on them. I have been taking my three dogs and two cats here for 4 years. The Dr's are helpful and knowledgeable the staff is kind and gentle to the animals. I highly recommend them. more

Recently my cat was attacked by a neighborhood dog. I brought them to Mission. Immediately I was greeted by the warm, friendly staff. The owner, Bill, took my information and quickly put my cat and I into a room. Shortly after that Dr. Nakla examined her and advised me on treatment. She made a full recovery and they worked with me on a treatment plan that I could afford. As a former ChatOak client, I can tell you I will never go anywhere else again! Mission Animal is wonderful and they won't price gouge like some other local vets I have been to. The premises are not flashy, but clean. I would recommend anyone that wants good quality veterinary care without the high prices to come to Mission!!! more

I have been going here for six years. The staff is kind and gentle. The Dr's are fair and know what they are doing.The hospital has late night hours but it is hit and miss at night on how busy they will be. It is best to make an appointment in the day time unless you dont mind waiting. The whole operation is world class. more

I was helped right when I got there. The staff was very good, but when my dog's fever was a little high, I had to pay an extra $300 for a "consultation" to see if they could give her a shot. The doctor was nice, but I ended up being there for 2 1/2 hours! Ugh. more

This vet is incredible! They are willing to stick around if you call late at night (I can attest to this, as I called regarding a stray that I had found in my yard and they were more than willing to wait around after 11pm for me to drop her off, no questions or hassles), they really seem to care about animals, and they are very reasonably priced. When my husband found the stray in our yard, she was incredibly malnourished and covered in fleas; we called Affordable Vet and they told us to bring her in. They determined that she would need to be spayed (since we were going to keep her), and fixed her, treated her for fleas and tapeworms, even kept her an extra day at no charge because when we brought her in, the vet felt that she was too thin and hungry to go through the operations the next morning, so they fed her and monitored her the next day (all at no charge), and made sure to call and let me know not to pick her up that day and what they were doing. When we picked the cat up the next (next) day, she was beautifully clean, fixed, and spry and ready to go (unlike a lot of cats that are over-medicated for surgeries and remain groggy at best for a day afterward). The vet even trimmed all of her nails and gave us the lampshade for her at no charge. The total cost for all of this was only $160, which is excellent to me, considering she was spayed, examined, de-fleaed, treated for tapeworms, given her vaccinations and all leukemia/FIV tests, and the vet even remembered her when we brought her back to have her stitches removed a week later (she gained so much weight that we were afraid to remove them ourselves; the poor thing had been starving outside). Granted, this was two years ago, and I'm sure that prices may have changed for this since then, but I have three cats that have since been there for exams, vaccinations, and even teeth cleanings, all at very reasonable prices. The staff and vet seem to all truly love animals and are in it for the animals, not the money. It was the holiday weekend and my dog ran out the door chasing the kids. She ran into the street and was hit by a car. Our regular vet was not open and they were. The doctor fixed the dog's broken leg and performed surgery on a lacerated lung. The dog is recovering fine now. My kids say it was a holiday miracle. I don't know about that, but my thanks go to everybody at the vet hospital. more

A few weeks ago my pet yorkie got sick. I took him here and was met with an excellent caring knowlegable staff. The Doctor really knew what to do without costing me an arm and a leg like other places Ive been to. I only recommend Mission animal to my friends and family. It turns out my dog has allergies and they offered me pet allergy testing, something I didnt know existed. Hes now getting allergy shots and doing much better. more
