I think this TJ Maxx location is smaller than most, but their Home Decor section (at the back of the store) makes it worth my while to go here. I live 20 miles away and have a TJ Maxx a mile away from me but it's worth coming to this location. I find shopping for clothing at this location frustrating; I don't understand the layout (that changes frequently) and the high traffic volume means stuff is all over the place.
The shoe section is miraculously neat and you can get really good deals on high quality, brand name shoes. They've recently changed their checkout strategy so a single line feeds into multiple cashiering stations and I think that was a really good move so people don't get ticked off that their line is moving slowly. I always manage to find the perfect home accessory or gift in the home decor section and that's why I'll keep coming back. Prices? I almost forgot to mention the prices: they are GREAT!

Sally Beauty Supply is one of the better beauty supply stores around. They carry just about any brand you can think of...all the good brands. Its not one of the largest stores but I always find what I am looking for. This is a good store for the proffessional as well. Pricing is competitive.

Billy's has great variety of clogs and shoes that begin popularity here in the 1960's. They have Birkenstock, Rockport, New Balance, and other well known makers. They are located on Balboa Blvd., in the Knollwood Plaza, just North of the 118 Freeway.
Also, they do great work in shoes repair. They make sure you are satisfied with the work, and the sales people give you a lot of time and care.
