My daughter's favorite: the pastrami & swiss on grilled rye..... is an incredible sandwich......only the Carnegie or Stage Deli is better....and you have to fly to New York.......\r \r My biggest problem with Max's: the pastrami or the ""#6"" (turkey, avocado, etc......on ciabatta) is soooooo good, we haven't tried any other sandwiches on the menu.\r \r Too bad ""Max's"" is closed on Saturdays and Sundays..... Pros: tasty sandwiches, reasonable prices, great service Cons: small restaurant is overcrowded at rush hour (noon to 1 pm). Closed Sat & Sun more

Sandwiches at this place are slammin' & the girls here are cute too. One of the girls here said the #6 on ciabatta bread was the the best selling sandwich they had and recommended it on my first time there. Damn fine sandwich. Bottomless sodas made it nice too. the second time I was at this place the owner helped me, Max I guess, and that dudes crazy wierd. There was a line out the door and he was askin' people if they came there by submarine or unicycle or whatever, and if you said yes he would take you from the back of the line to the front. Crazy. Next time I'm in I guess I'll answer yes. Had a Giessepe Panini the last time I was there and another great sandwich. Wish they had down the hill in Sactown, as I only get to eat here when I'm makin' deliveries in Auburn. Do they deliver? They have a new website www.eatatmaxs.com. Peace Out. Checked this place out based on a 3 star review in The Sacramento Bee about their hot pastrami sandwich. Damn Skippy, they were right on! Haven't had a HOT PASTRAMI sandwich this good since living back east. Good rye bread too. Not a good corn rye, butt better then i've had locally in a long time. Pros: Good value, Fresh, service Cons: Very busy (CON?), crowded at lunch, can be noisy at lunch more

Best sandwiches in Placer County! Guess that's why they are always voted BEST DELI. They have espresso & ice creams too. The #6(turkey & avocado) on grilled focaccia might be the best sandwich I've ever had! The mustard was fantastic. Where do they get it? Pros: fresh, good value, friendly Cons: crowd at lunch, closed on weekends, hard to find location more
