I love Mathis Brothers 3/17/2009

I love Mathis Brothers. I have bought multiple things from them and have never had a problem with anything. I have also was able to get some brand new furniture in their "As is" room. It had just been discontinued. I am currently in need of a new living room set and will be getting it from there. I also deal with the salesmen by simply saying that I'm not buying anything. They always leave me alone after that. more

Horrible Experience 8/17/2007

One day we bought furniture from this store. It was raining hard. We were supposed to be picking up a piece of furniture and then leaving. well, it didn't go that well. It took forever so I finally got out of my car and went to the door to see what the hold-up was. The man made me stand outside the store and refused to let me in. So by that time i was irritated and wet. We loaded the furniture into our truck and left. We had also purchased another piece of furniture that day. when it arrived, it was broken really badly. Besides the stress of that, we also had the moving guys. They were absolutely rude, and messed up our glass door slightly by doing something to leave it open. when i sent my daughter out to tell them to fix it, they said to her "Just move the metal thing to get it to close." sarcastically and refused to fix it. I hope to never have to shop there again. more

Broken dining chair 7/24/2006

I will start off with something nice to say...the customer service at Mathis Brothers is very good. They try to help and if you just want to browse they'll leave you alone....no hovering. The bad thing about our experience is that first we pulled our truck up to the warehouse for our dining set to be loaded. AFTER they loaded it in, the guys found out that they had loaded not our dining set but a lounger into our truck and had to unload it. (The lounger was supposed to go into the truck that had been parked next to us. But the guys loaded THAT truck with the wrong thing too. Bad for them that the truck had already left.) Anyway. They finally found our stuff, loaded it, and we drove home. It was pouring rain that day...all day and night long. After we got everything out of the boxes I noticed that a chair had something wrong with it. It is an arrowback chair and one of the long, middle pieces had not gone into one of the slots. I tried calling them but by that time they had already closed. (We live quite a long ways from where they are located.) I tried the next day but it was busy. Finally I got through to them and they gave me some mumbo jumbo about warranties, customer liabilities and stuff. Fortunately while I was on the phone griping at the woman my hubby was fixing the chair and now it's good. And that's that. We may even consider shopping there again because of the nice customer service inside the store and the beautiful furniture they have. more

Great place 12/28/2005

I love going to mathis brothers. They always have beautiful furniture there and you can always get a good deal. They have a scratch and dent room in the back of the store that you can get some major bargains, of course they will have a minor imperfection in them and sometimes they may be really damaged but there are some major bargains there. they always have some advertised bargains that are really good deals too. I always have my furniture delivered and I have always been very happy. We had a problem once with them and they went out of their way to make us happy. more

Mathis Brothers 12/14/2005

mathis Brothers has a huge facility with a huge selection of furniture. Whats bad is that they also have a huge selection of sales people-they are so pushy and annoying. All that aside we found a pretty good deal on a love seat and chair. But when we went to pick it up some guy had my husband help him load it up! Isn't that their job?... Oh well. Not a lot to choose from in Tulsa so you might as well go check it out. more

Good selection, but annoying sales atmosphere 10/4/2005

I have a love-hate feeling about Mathis-Brothers. They really do have a HUGE selection of furniture in various price ranges. HOWEVER, the sales people are KNOWN for being simply ANNOYING. They just about cling to you as soon as you walk in the door. If by some chance you manage to escape from the salesperson assigned to you, be assured that another will pop out from beind a piece of furniture! I really don't look forward to going there, but as I write this I am sitting on my Mathis Brothers sofa. So I can't say I have banned it completely. more

Fabulous furniture! 9/18/2005

This furniture store is top of the line and they have great qualtify for perfect prices. They have all kinds of great values from plant stands to sofa beds to fabulojs dining room furniture. A house in tulsa without any of there furniture, cant be called a home. Also as a new addition they sell mitzibishi televisions. more

Mathis Bros 7/26/2005

Mathis Bros carries really nice furniture, but the pricing is really just about average. Its a kind of high pressure sales atmosphere too, which really doesn't make you too enthusiastic about buying anything. But, they do, occassionally have some sales, and some good deals. If you come at the right time, its worth it. more
