This the apartments are very large, but old(1974). The reason of the low rating is the community. While the apartment complex is not a section 8 housing, it is very ghetto. There was a drive by/illegal discharge of a firearm on Sunday 27 May 12 on one of the aprtment building in the afternoon. Feel free to check with the Richland County Sheriff to verify. The community is mainly African American, so if you are of a different race be ready for social tension. The property is not well kept, so expect to find beer cans/trash in front of the buildings. Be ready for packs of teens and children to be running in the parking lot vandalizing property/cars and breaking into apartments and cars. In addition be prepared to be asked if you would like to by drugs while taking out your trash. Managment has been made aware of these problems numerous times, but fails to do anything to resolve these issues. They will make promises that it will get better, but it never does. All in all if you have no children, standards or nice things it maybe the place for you. more

I am nearing my sixties. I needed a safe place to live where I could keep my pets and relax. I found this place that is set right on the lake. There is a pool for swimming. The laundry facilities are always clean. There is a playground area for children and a very large dog park enclosed on site. more

They never clean the gutters, there was actulally a tree limb in mine when I left I'm sure if you look you'll find it still there right above where I used to live. The residents set fire to the places! There is crime everywhere! The police officer that lives there is a drunk that knocked over a lamp post recently, luckily it wasn't a peson. The pool is never open for more then a few days at a time, when the the pool filter was broken, and fixed that day the office employees lied and blamed it on a broken latter which would take two nuts, a rench, and 5 minutes to fix, then say it won't be open for the next 4 days while they fix it? Really? Are you kidding? The state of the appartments is appauling they have very little insulation. They are changing the carpets but they aren't fixing the real problems, like water damage, and black mold. There was tile peeling up from the floor only to reveal that instead of retiling they just tiled over the old decaying tile under it. They don't fix the counters or clean them they just sand them and pant over the dirt. The neibors are loud and there are known drug dealers, hookers and theives that live here. The management staff are very impersonal and rude. They send emails threatening to evict people for not paying their rent when they have proof they did. Their matainance is almost non-existant, and when they do come to fix something they never have the part, or speak a lick of english. Instead of removing the second pool they cut corners and just filled it in with dirt and put grass over it. I would go on but there is a 4,000 charactor limit. Oh well I just get my husband to finish the rest. more

Pros and cons: First the pros... 1. The lake is beautiful. 2. There is a pool. 3. They have a police officer that lives here. 4. It is located near several shopping centers. 5. It is cheap rent. Now for the cons.... 1. They people that live here are a combination of drugdealers, whores, and thieves, as well as the violently unstable, inclueding, but not limited to, the police officer that lives here. He got drunk and knocked over a lamp post. Hence there is a lot of crime. 2. The pool is more often then not closed for days on end due to minor aesthetic problems. Also there is no lifegaurd on duty, and people from other places come to swim that do not live here and are not guests. Children swim alone and without supervision. This may as well be a public pool with no lifegaurds. 3. The state of the appartments is appaling. Painting over dirt, tiling over rotting tile, and cutting corners to cut costs is common practice here. 4. The staff is very cold and impersonal, after you move in that is. 5. The walls are paper thin and incidentally, you can hear everything your niebors are doing, saying, etc... 6. They never clean the gutters and rarely clean around the lake. I rated this place a 1 because all the cons outweigh the pros, The old expresion comes to mind, ""You get what you pay for."" However in this case I believe it isn't worth the price, low as it is. more
