best customer service in Fort Worth! 9/13/2010

This place is amazing. Honestly! I went in there and I figured I was going to get some eye rolls and groans because I had a ton of items, some of which had stains that were leftover from drycleaning at another cleaners. I felt like I was being a pain in the behind, but Kite's treated me with respect and addressed all of my concerns. Also, all of my items came out perfectly! more

great customer service 2/28/2010

I am new to town and a friend referred Kites to me. I went there with a new 3 piece business suit. I had some stains on the blazer. I was called pryor to them cleaning it to let me know that in order to get the stains out, it would have to be wet cleaned. It's silk, so of course I was skeptical if they knew what they were doing. I had never heard of the wet cleaning process before. They assured me that all matching pieces would have to be cleaned so all would be the same colorwise after cleaning. Again, I was not sure but I gave them a chance. Well, they got the stains out of the blazer and all pieces came back looking great. I appreciate them making the effort to inform me of that process before the cleaning as apposed to just cleaning the one piece and it not matching the other pieces. I call that great customer service and they have my business all the time. Pros: feels like family Cons: none yet more

Don't do it. 6/24/2008

Took a couple of garments here, one in particular a beloved dress of mine. I receive this delicate dress only to notice the jewelry that was attached to this dress was ripped off and dismembered in (apparently) a wet washing process (hmm... if I was truly in the careless mood I could have just done this myself). I call them back to complain, as parts of the jewelry are now missing, and they tell me nonchalantly to bring back the dress and that they will have a manager reach me the next day. I wait. And wait. And wait for almost a week as they are scrambling around trying to find the detached pieces of this jewelry since my dress was initially sent off to some remote location of theirs. They return the dress to me again in strange form with parts still missing, and refund the cleaning service. They offered to sew a new random piece of jewelry on to it, but the damage was already done. No thanks.\r \r If you happen to be in search of a dry cleaner in Fort Worth, I would bypass Camp Bowie's Twin Kell as well. I wrote a negative review on them since I was hoping Kite's would have done a better job. Looks like I am about to write up another on Ray's Custom ""Gentle"" Cleaners... Pros: Well they didn't completely ruin the other garment. Cons: They ruined my favorite garment. more

Truly Not Worth It 9/4/2007

I hate to say it, since it is a recommended dry cleaner and there aren't many to choose from in Fort Worth, but this place is truly a MUST miss.\r \r I used their services three times and three times I was disappointed.\r \r First time, I had a boutique dress altered and they lost the sash. They made a good faith attempt to replace it, but couldn't find the ribbon and replaced it with a much lower quality and insufficient ribbon.\r \r Second time, I went to them to alter a pair of sevens. The seam of the jeans started to come undone after one washing on delicate (line dry).\r \r And the last time, I used their leather cleaning vendor. They sent away a practically NEW Coach purse (less than 5 mo old and barely used but had grease dripped on it at a restaurant [another story!]) and the purse came back over a month later (no call by the way to say it arrived) with the stain still their AND major damage (discoloration, tears and rippingas well as seam damage) to the strap. Initially, they showed concern and said they would call their manager and leather cleaning service to discuss, but over a week later, they kept my purse and the money but hadn't called back. Finally, I talked to a store manager, and they were very unhelpful. They claimed I signed a waiver and they were not responsible and could only refund the cleaning charge. \r \r I would recommend that if you care about anything you have to get cleaned or altered, choose a more reputable and responsible business to entrust your valuables to. I learned the hard way. If you have any suggestions about an alternate chose for cleaning in the Fort Worth area, I am all ears. I would rather drive to HOUSTON than use Kites again.\r Cons: See my explanation more
