Beautiful, functional and affordable 9/9/2011

The designers at Kitchen Galleries are a pleasure to work with. They helped me redo the kitchen in my high rise apartment and I am very happy with the result. They have an an immaculate taste, an eye for great products and understanding for my low budget. Dario went out of his way on many occasions to help us resolve delivery and construction issues that arose during the remodeling. He was competent, creative and professional. He was knowledgeable about todays codes, requirement, products and he always knew exactly where to get what we or our contractors needed. With Dario I always knew exactly what I was getting: no design or price surprises. He kept an open line of communication with us at all times, and kept an eye on the contractors and workers that were doing work at the house. He put a lot of time and effort into helping us resolve the inevitable hick-ups that occur with an old apartment building. If and when a problem arose, he got it worked out every time. Dario kept to the original budget which I find just as important as a beautiful design, quality products and great workmanship. Dario understood our need for an updated functional and attractive kitchen for what we could afford. Extremely happy and would recommend him and Kitchen Galleries to anyone!\r Liked:products, ideas, personality. \r more

Loved the service and products! 12/19/2009

I learned about Kitchen Galleries from a friend who had remodeled their kitchen with them a few years ago. The designers were recommended as professional, easy-going and willing to work with not-so-high budgets. I was apprehensive because they are known designers and have their work published in several magazines., so I assumed they would be quite expensive. I was in for a few nice surprises.\r \r Marina came out to my house to measure, we discussed some design ideas, my time frame and my budget. Then she helped me select cabinetry, countertop, sink and faucet, and even recommended an appliance store (University Electric). She also gave me a list of general contractors that work closely with Kitchen Galleries, although are not their employees.\r \r I could not be happier with the new kitchen layout and design details, like a raised bartop, additional storage, built-in wine cellar and improved traffic flow from my dining room to the living room. Both Marina and Dario were always available on the phone, and came to the house during the construction at least twice a week. I was so impressed with the cabinetry and counter top, that I hired Kitchen Galleries to redesign first my master bathroom, and then two downstairs baths.\r \r I was also surprised how quickly the project was completed a month and a half and I now have a brand new kitchen, and three new bathrooms! In the beginning I was afraid of possible expensive change orders surprise again! The only change order was a replacement of the old instant hot water system only because the old one could not be salvaged during the demolition.\r \r I recommend Kitchen Galleries, they will take care of you and your home. Pros: Affordable, good quality, friendly staff more

Recommend to Anyone 2/24/2009

Kitchen Galleries is GREAT!! Dario and Marina listened to what we wanted in a kitchen and designed a beautiful kitchen. Our contractor, Andres Cepeda, made that design a reality - he was wonderful. If any problem came up, Dario and/or Marina were there and it was resolved efficiently. I would not hesitate to recommend Kitchen Galleries to anyone! They made the entire process as smooth as possible.\r Pros: creative, responsive, professional more

A Beautiful Kitchen 1/28/2009

I thought that I knew what I wanted when I arrived at Kitchen Galleries with a design from one of the big box stores. My plan was to see if they could do it cheaper. Well, Marina and Dario started asking questions and they never attacked my design. The stove was moved from the island, deep drawers were added for pots and pans, a platerack was placed over the dishwasher and the design allowed easy access to all parts of the kitchen when cooking. \r \r We had a few problems with installation, Dario met several times with the cabinet installer and the issues were resolved.\r \r We have a beautiful kitchen that is extremely functional. Marina and Dario did a great job. Pros: Great communication, delivered as promised, high quality products more

They made it easy! 1/9/2009

Kitchen Galleries did a great job designing our new kitchen. Cathy and Dario were full of great ideas, yet very open to input from us. Kitchen Design was also very aware of our budget and helped us stay within it. We have one more bathroom to remodel and Kitchen Galleries will be our first call. I have already and will continue to recommend them to all my friends, family and clients! Pros: professional designers, to code plans, free design more

Satisfied Remodeller 9/2/2008

So, I don't give out five star reviews to anyone. After talking to Marina for about fifteen minutes I decided I wanted to have these guys do my kitchen counters. In the first meeting (total cold-call walk in) I paid a lot of attention to the questions she was asking me and the info she was giving me because in my book unprompted detail tells me a lot about how detail oriented someone is. She told me all about stainless steel sink gauge without me having to ask which told me I could stop worrying about having to understand all the details on my own and just let her make recommendations. I gave her my measurements and she had the quartz guys put together a quote. The quote was under the estimate I got from another company in San Carlos last year. It also included tearout and plywood leveling which the other company had pretty much brushed off as ""well, that's your problem, we dont do that."" Tile counters came out on a Friday;quartz counters were installed two weeks later. No delays, no snags. Kitchen Galleries also didn't give me trouble about ""only"" wanting to do my counters, unlike a couple of other places. KG also recommended a plumber to help me disconnect and reconnect the sink and various appliances (no DIYer I). I am very pleased with this remodel, and like I said, I never hand out five-star reviews. Check 'em out. Sure, you could wear yourself out researching stone guys and plumbers and installers and demolition crews and haulaway services, or you can just go with good people who know good people, and I'm definitely in the latter camp. And I didn't even do anything requiring bigtime design skills!\r \r more

Great service and products 8/14/2008

Marina and Dario helped me and my wife design and remodel a house we inherited from her parents. Dario came over at no charge, took measurements of both bathrooms and the kitchen. A few days later he came up with a nice design for the kitchen, Marina with really elegant design for the baths. We were impressed. The prices seemed very competitive and we placed the orders. Kitchen Galleries helped find a wonderful installer whose attention to detail was more that any homeowner can wish for. The house was fixed and sold for over asking price! We were so impressed that we later went back to Kitchen Galleries to redesign a kitchen and two bathrooms in our own home. Needless to say - with creative layouts, beautiful products of high quality and immaculate installation the project turned out success once again. Thank you, Marina and Dario!\r Pros: Local, family run, always accessable by phone Cons: Second floor no elevator more

Kitchen Galleries 8/2/2008

My Kitchen had become a problem for me. The stains and the dust gave a filthy look to it and the old style of shelves was making it worse. At this point I called up Kitchen galleries and Kathy was so helpful. She heard my complaints very patiently and promised to give a grand makeover to my Kitchen in whatever little budget I had planned for this. And Vow! The result was simply amazing. Now I don?t have to hesitate in calling my friends to my Kitchen rather I find for excuses to invite them in.\r more

Professional and creative 5/5/2008

I am thrilled with my new kitchen. Marina initially came to my house to help decide what would work for me, and she, Dario, and Cathy were always friendly and helpful and full of good ideas about how to design the best possible kitchen to fit my taste and needs. Their patience was wonderful. I would be happy to use their services again when the time comes to do a bathroom.\r Pros: Wide selection of cabinetry, countertops, sinks and faucets, free design service, timely delivery Cons: Only one location - they need to open more! more
