Don't Take Your Kids Here 2/1/2006

It looks like a great place on paper! They offer all sorts of unique classes for kids, so they make you think...After signing my daughter up for a Spanish class twice and having it canceled after I made the trip out there, I realized this place is a joke. No one wanted to take responsibility for this mistake. The owner and one of the workers there just bad-mouthed each other to me-very unprofessional. Look elsewhere before getting your child's hopes up about a class... more

The kids like it, but I think it could be better. 8/10/2005

The Kangaroo Kingdom is essentially a toddler's gym. Everything is padded and they can run around exploring all the different equipment. I think that the open gym is fun, the classes held by a third party are good (for instance the baby sign language class), but the "kangaroo classes" (for instance Junior Bouncers) are a waste of money. My experience was that you pay $140/10 week session for the kids to essentially have an open gym. It's $8 to go to an open gym (unless you prepay then it's a little less), but I think $8/child/hour is pretty expensive. Toddler open gyms (6 - 36 month olds) are 45 minutes to an hour. Children's open gyms (6 months - 5 years) are 2 hours. Also, the gym area is quite small. Overall, I think it's fun to go to occasionally, but it's not worth a weekly, or even bi-weekly visit. more

Where Kids Rule 8/8/2005

Kangaroo Kingdom is a lot of fun for babies and toddlers. You can choose a structured class (very similar to Gymboree) or open gym time where the kids play on the equipment there. It's a great place to meet other parents or set up a playdate with a friend. It's also a nice activity so your kids can socialize with each other. It's especially nice as an indoor play environment when the weather isn't appropriate for outdoor activities. The only drawbacks are that classes are pricey and the space is a little small. I hear they may be moving soon, so hopefully that will solve the space issue. more
