Definitely overrated 10/26/2005

I've actually been here a couple of times and two out of three times, the service was bad. The owners are actually Korean - not Japanese - so maybe that's why the food wasn't authentic (they don't even have miso soup!). They have ads claiming 1/2 price sushi, but it's only for california rolls and the other cheaper rolls. I guess that's okay since the only thing decent there is the california rolls. more

Fresh Sushi 9/7/2005

The half-price sushi is what I will go for in this restaurant. The regular menus is otherwise a bit pricy. They have very fresh sushi, with fresh sashimi if you like raw fish. You can sit at the bar and the chef will make the sushi in front of you. Spend around $15 per person and will leave you with a full stomach. more

Good sushi 8/9/2005

Kabuki is a sushi restaurant located in Pasadena. They serve sushi, seafood, sashimi (raw fish, not for everybody), and other popular Japanese cuisine. The sushi is good and they have a wide range of sushi. They have special deals such as half off for lunch on certain days and times. They also have a dessert menu that includes tempura green tea ice cream, which is fried green tea ice cream. It is delicious and something different. more
