Joe's Crab Shack-Kissimmee

I went there a few weeks ago with a couple of my friends. The wait was a bit much but well worth it. I ate the Crab Salad Chipotle & also ate some of my friends Rajun Cajun. The food was delightful & atmosphere was very rounded. We had a server which was fairly new as I could tell. His name was Ariel and he was very enthusiastic & pleasant throughout the time he served us. He kept our drinks filled & was very funny and professional. Again, the Crab Cake Chipotle Caesar Salad was to die for. Very delicious. And my friends Rajun Cajun was Louisianian spicy but not ""over-the-top."" Friend no. 2 had a platter & I also nibbled on hers, as we all did with each other's plates. I can't remember what she ordered but it was also good. Good enough that I may order that when we all return. They drank their Buds which were given to them rather quick. The service was swift & well done for a new server. The only bad thing that I could say about the service was that since Ariel was new, he made the mistake & mixed our checks which were separate. He was very apologetic & jumped through hoops to remedy our situation. The manager on the other hand seemed a bit novice and frustrated. I could tell that he scolded Ariel & had us waiting for our checks for 20 minutes at minimum. He was a rather young Manager & seemed to allow his emotions show when it came to his frustrations with the whole situation. Nevertheless, we did not pay full price given the error. We felt bad for Ariel & totally understood that things happen especially when one is new at a job. However the manager, again, was rather unprofessional in his treatment of the new server & lack of self-restraint in dealing with the matter & us. We liked Ariel so much that we left him a nice tip. Hope he still works there. I would recommend Joe's to anyone. The food is great & the service is warm and friendly--If you get the right server like we did. By the way, they dance there too! They all have fun there which is nice. If you happen to go to the one on Celebration, I would ask for Ariel as your server. He is very pleasant, warm, & friendly. If he's still working there, I'd recommend him because his service was great, speedy, & very personable. more

We went to Joe's Crab Shack in Kissimmee in February this year. The food was declicious. Our server was Joe, who was great and very attentive. This particular night, it was very cool in the restaurant. Voola, (not sure how to spell her name) the manager, I think, gave me her shawl to put around my shoulders while we ate. She came to our table often to check on us. Very kind, and funny also. We will definitely return the next time we're in Kissimmee. more

We went to this Joe's Crab Shack while on vacation and had such a memoriable time. We were greeted at the door, and quickly sat down. Our server Mary was not only a great server, but fun! We got the crispy calamari appetizer and it was scrumptious. Mary saw we were running low on marinara and brought us more. There was a balloon artist there that night and he made our daughter a dazzling princess crown, and me a butterfly. He did a great job, was very personable, and added to the fun. The first time the servers danced, my 8 yr old daughter was too shy to get up. she had a blast watching and giggling. When Mary was done, she came by and told her that next time she would get up and dance with her. Our daughter could not wait! we got our food, and everything was perfect! My husband got the skillet paella was delicious the shrimp plump and juicy and the mussels big. it was seasoned just right with a little kick of spices. I had a new england something ? it was a crab cake, stuffed shrimp, onion straws, and fish and chip. It was all amazing! the beer batter fish cooked just right - golden brown on outside, tender and flaky on the inside. the crab cake was yummy and full of crab, and the stuffed shrimp were unbelievable. they were not huge shrimp, more of a medium size, but they were cooked to perfection, and the stuffing was the best I've had . Our daughter ate the kids fishermans catch, it was popcorn shrimp, fish and chips, and cheese sticks with marinara. SHE loved it! The servings huge, we had alot to take home and snack on in the evenings after getting in from the Disney Parks. we watched a table that had 2 birthdays celebrating, have a broom race around the restaurant. ( our daughter at that point said she wanted to do that on her birhday!) and another birthday the waitstaff kneeling down and serinading them happy birthday! then the next dance song came on and Mary again invited our girl up to dance and this time she went up and Mary taught her the steps. we got it all on video. BIG thanks to Mary for making this visit magical for us! when we go back in a few months we hope Mary is working! we will ask for her for sure! After dancing, our giggly girl was presented by a manager an award of participation ( a free meal next time we come in) - my girl so proud of this! soon after another manager who came by and checked on us, and asked how we were doing and introduced herself, upon leaving our table instructed someone else to deliver a shark to our daughter. for desert our little one tried the you build an ice cream sandwich sundae and she had such fun with the sprinkles. thank you all for making this a great visit. I would highly recommend Joe's Crab Shack in Celebration to anyone with no hesitation. more

My wife and I have eaten at Joe's Crab Shack near Celebration, FL on several occassions. We love the service, the atmosphere, and the food. It is a very fun place to take the family for dinner. Service is prompt, and efficient. The kids (waiters and waitresses) working there are clean cut and very nice. They are well trained and generate a fun atmosphere. Best place I know to get a bucket of crabs and shrimp and other seafood dishes. Highly recommend. more

My husband and I were recently on vacation and looking for a seafood place to eat. We saw the ads and thought it looked promising. We arrived and the staff seemed confused as to where to seat us even though there were little customers in the restaurant. We were seated about 5 minutes after arriving and our waitress was friendly and very polite. Some of the food was good-the steak bites, snow crab legs and fried shrimp were really good. However, they advertised fresh fish and that they always carried grouper which when we got there they did not have. The mussells and clams were not cleaned well and the shrimp were not devined and were rubbery. The calamary was not fresh and was also rubbery. Pros: easy to find, quick service Cons: food was not fresh more
