New Store Across Town! 4/16/2006

This Jo-Ann Fabric store in Fort Wayne is the only remaining store. It moved from its location next to the Target at Glenbrook Square to its current location near the mall. The Jo-Ann's near the K-Mart and Southtown Mall has closed for business. You will need to enter off the main street and drive around the back of the outlot stores to find Joanne Fabrics. The store put up a new large sign at the top of the square, so it should now be easier to find. The store has many sales and be sure to sign up for coupons that come in the mail for the best deals. The store carries a large selection of upholstery fabric and seasonal special fabrics. Free parking out in front. Strange check out lines. more

Poor service 9/21/2005

This store is crowded and yet doesn't have much of anything. They do offer a coupon for 40% off once a month if you are on their mailing list. However, you are better off waiting for the item to go on sale. The coupons are not good on sale items. You often have to stand in line for fabric cutting and then stand in line to check out. They offer some variety of fabrics from decorator fabrics to bridal fabrics but it is not any better than any other stores. They have a lot of stuff in the aisles and it makes it hard to get around if you need a cart or stroller. The employees are less than helpful and not very nice either. I try to avoid this store if at all possible. more

Ok Place 8/19/2005

Jo Ann fabric is a store packed with fabric and craft supplies. It is not well organized and can sometimes be messy and confusing. The selcetion of fabrics is ok nothing new and unusual. The craft supplies are priced fairly and they run wonderful sales. Look for the 40% off coupons that are frequently in their ads. The help is there is you are willing to wait for it. more

Excellent selection, spotty service 6/18/2005

I love JoAnn Fabric store (although the one I visit is next to Target by Glenbrook, not KMart Plaza South). The selection of fabrics and other craft items is wide, and they always have home flyers with 40% off one item coupons. The downside to this store is that the service at the checkout and cutting tables is often painfully slow. Don't go here when you're in a hurry! If you have a leisurely afternoon or morning though, you'll have a great time shopping at JoAnn's. more
