Biaggi's is wondeful, classy Italian place to eat. Despite its elegance, the prices are surprisingly reasonable. All the food I've eaten there has been excellent, and the service is superb. From the opening when your server makes "Biaggi butter" for you to dip their homemade breads in, you'll be waited on expertly until you finish dessert. Their kids menu is excellent as well, with a wide variety of things for the kids that are yummy yet don't include french fries as most place do (to my chagrin).

I enjoy eating at the Rusty Pan when I go through Roanoke. It has a small-town feel, with friendly employees and simple decor. It always appears clean. The food is excellent - hot and fresh, and the prices are reasonable. Next time you're hungry for a salad, grinder, or pizza - try the Rusty Pan!

Papa John's is my favorite pizza place. The pizza is excellent; not greasy like lots of other places. And I LOVE their breadsticks - sourdough-y and yummy without a lot of grease. What really makes me love Papa John's is their excellent coupons. I wouldn't order at full-price, but with coupons it's really reasonable. I've used delivery and their drivers are fast and polite.

The buffet had a nice variety of pizzas, and even homemade cookies for dessert. The service was friendly and the restaurant was clean and sunny.

Sara's is a family-owned restaraunt; this building used to be a Captain D's. It has "old timey" decor with old schoolbooks, etc. I've found the prices to be reasonable and the portions generous. Nothing fancy here, just good home-cooked food. The service is fast and friendly and it's usually busy here, which speaks well of Sara's. Check it out!

Note - I'm actually reviewing the Jefferson Pointe store because that's the one I visit. Visiting Krispy Kreme is a treat for the kids - or for adults as well! I particularly love the way they have glass over the inner workings so you can see the doughnuts come down the assembly line. The kids love seeing that. They have many varieties of doughnuts and usually always have a new "special" one related to the season. A nice perk is that they give kids a free doughnut for each A on their report card.

I recently was a parent chaperone on a 3rd graders' trip here. We also went to the Children's Museum, and I liked the Eiteljorg much more. The kids went through the Children's Museum at a slow run and I felt they learned little, but here we had an excellent guide who explained the various Indian artifacts to us and really made them interesting. This is a true museum and you mainly look, not touch. I don't know that it would have been so meaningful to me on my own, but the tour guide really made it an excellent visit. I'd definitely go with a guided tour.

I'm from Indiana but I find it fascinating anyway, as much of it doesn't seem Michigan-specific. Rather, it's a look through the history of much of the US. I love the scenes from the '60s and '70s; I noticed many items I had as a child. Also there are recreated movie theaters, schoolrooms, etc. - it's a very hands-on, fun place for kids.

The hotel had free newspapers and a morning breakfast. It is several stories high. It was quiet when we were there and is within walking distance to a strip mall with WalMart, Hobby Lobby, restaurants and more.

Family Video Rental is a nice place to rent movies. When I visited, there were so many deals going that it was a bit confusing. Maybe rent 2, get 3 free, or rent 3 and each is half price or rent 4 and each is .49 ... I found myself wishing that there was just a single low price rather than wading through all the various combinations! The employees basically leave you alone, but are helpful if asked. The selection was good and the store is clean.
