We ordered various types of food & drinks also, We enjoyed the dinner very peacefully In this restaurant & service was very good. Greenery was so beautiful around the restaurant.. My friends were sweet enough to throw me a surprise birthday dinner here at Jade. The decor is nice, great location in Forrest Hills. BUT service was horrid. It took them an hour and a half to bring us our food. Yes, we were a big party but that wait time is ridiculous. While we were waiting, minor essentials such spoons, knives or napkins were not provided. Out of a party of 12, the waitress asked ONLY two of us if we wanted anything to drink. The rest of the group was not thirsty according to her. So I had to get her attention so the rest of us can get some water and Thai iced tea. So the ""Thai iced tea"" came, it was more like sugared water with a hint of orange coloring. I asked the waitress for some milk for my ""Thai iced tea,"" it took about 20 minutes to come. When I reminded her about the milk, she told me they were ""making"" the milk in the kitchen... Hmm, I don't know... I never heard of a restaurant making milk before. So after the looooong wait, the food finally came. Some would think the food would be outstanding for the amount of time we were waiting for it. But no, another disappointment... Food was ehhh... but we were starving. And so the bill comes... they automatically charged us a 20% gratuity... We didn't feel like that they deserved anywhere near 20% so we shorted the bill by $19. As we were leaving, the manager (Raymond Taylor) stopped us about a block away. We told him they didn't deserve the 20% but he was pretty much an unprofessional @sshole... He threatened to call the police on us for the undeserved $19... If you want to know what this guy looks like, just look for the white guy on his cell phone, not really doing anything for the place other than holding up the wall. He has absolutely no courtesy to his customers, especially for a party who was paying a $400 bill, in which the service sucked ass and the food was below average. I would NOT recommend this place at all... Unless they get new management or send good ol' Raymond to managerial training or just basic common sense training... There are other places in Forrest Hills that would treat their customers better... more

This place is rediculous and so not worth it. We had gone here for a bday party, and were not allowed to sit down until almost all 20 ppl arrived. According to the manager if he didn't do it this way he wouldve been losing money, I dont understand how cuase all you had to was seperate the tables but nooo he made us stand around like idiots until everyone arrived then he has the boss to say we can only hold for 15 minutes are you kidding me. It doesn't end here we finally get to sit and the chairs are hard they dont have good back support which was bad for me becuase I have a bad back. We start to order and thats another big mess he doesn't have what the menu says theyre suppose to have. We finally get our food and mine the mini burgers i ordered were spicy there wasn't any notice or alert that it was going to be spicy ont he menu. I then order a refill for a sprite and had to wait more than 15 minutes another waiter had to bring it to me. I finally got fed up and said sorry to my friend gave her my portion of the money for the food and left. If i knew this place was goin to be like this I would'nt had never gone. I donot reccomend this palce to anyone. more

FOR FOREST HILLS IS CUTE, BUT WHY WILL I PAY TOP $ FOR AVERAGE FOOD, WHEN I CAN GO TO THE CITY 10 MINUTES AWAY. MICKEYS SUSHI IS THE BEST, ALTHOUGH THEY MOVED TO BAYSIDE. more

First, I'd like to start by saying that Jade used to be one of my favorite places to eat. The food has always been good and the only one complaint I have had is that it is very loud in there. The decor is nice, the staff is friendly, and there WAS valet parking. This past Saturday I went with some friends for my birthday. I was very excited to go with them to Jade. Dinner came out sporadically. We waited for over an hour until two of the appetizers came. One meal finally arrived after dinner had been served and eaten! In addition, it was a cold and tough steak. When one of my friends spoke up, the manager more than once just ""poo pooed"" him. Both managers made excuse after excuse as to why the food was taking so long, etc. If it is a busy night, be prepared. Have more people working? Give your customers a free appetizer while they wait. Be polite! When a customer speaks up, take care of their round of drinks. Now instead of losing whatever it cost for that round or that free appetizer, you lost a few happy customers. We were not the only ones to complain. We saw at least two other tables that left because they were waiting for so long! The wait staff themselves were good and the rest of the food was yummy. We just felt that the managers were treating us poorly and that the wait time was extreme. more

The food is ok nothing special. Sushi is too overpriced for what they give u. I got a speciality roll and they didn't even make it correctly. Mohjitos were $10 each for a 6 oz glass full of ice and mint. U r basically paying for decent service and a nice atmosphere. I'd rather go to the city at these prices more

Great venue, music, waiter, food and drinks. Pros: strong & delicious Mojitos Cons: none. This place is 5 STAR in my book more

It HAS gotten pretty expensive but the drinks and atmosphere are still worth it. I don't get there to stuff my face, I frequent Jade to enjoy some delicious cocktails and some good conversation. My newest favorite on their drink menu is the TyKu Lemonade - so refreshing! I would just recommend you don't go there with a completely empty stomach =) more

The place has a nice vibe, but the prices aren't reasonable . the appetizers are good but I woutldnt order a entree . the entree are equivalent to chinese takeout just triple the price . this place is really just for a quick appetizer and drink and then head to Bartiniz next door! more

I was so excited when this restaurant opened since I live in the neighborhood. I was happy a trendy spot was finally coming to Forest Hills! Well, my husband and I used to frequent the restaurant and order their specialty rolls all the time. The prices have gone up several times and have gotten ridiculous! HELLO-This is Queens! last 4 week ago we having party on the back lounge and the bartender she just want tips but not service and not nice at all. The food so little and not look so good.
