Hitch King

Hitch King did the worst possible job installing a Falcon Tow Bar on my Jeep Liberty. They totalled my front bumper by cutting ""installation holes"" into it (see pictures), instead of removing it and putting it back on later. 1000 USD damage on the bumper alone. \r The wiring did not work initially and after they had the car for three more days it was hooked up so that the cable was chafing on the drivetrain causing the electric of the Jeep to crash. Fuses in the motorhome and the Jeep were blowing out because Hitch King installed diodes only on some connections (using poor cut-in-connectors) not on all of them. \r The job, according to Hitch King Manager Donald ""Don"" was supposed to be a standard half-day routine issue; in the end they had the car for three and a half days and it took me two more weeks to fix the most immediate problems they caused with the car to be able to drive it and tow it. \r Nonetheless, Hitch King believes they should receive full payment and not pay any damages done to my car. We are going to trial about the issues, but if you still can, save yourself these troubles and avoid Hitch King in the first place. more

Just to follow up on the previous post. I had the hitch installed along with wiring. Didn't use the harness until today as I've only towed 100 yards to the boat ramp for the past year. Guess what....the wiring harness is installed wrong too!!! This place S.U.C.K.S.!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

Took my new van in for a hitch. $2k worth of paint damage when I picked it up. Spoke with the owner to blew it off and told me it was from rock damage. Vehicle is/was only 3 weeks old and never driven on rocks etc. When I pressed the issue asking for payment of repairs he cursed me out in the parking lot. All this and I'm a local too..... STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN! DISHONEST TO SAY THE LEAST!! more

Went in for a loose Hub (Outerbearings) on a Friday at noon. Owner (Don) quoted me $45 per hub (4) to repack. Confirmed it with the gal at the desk and told her I would not be able to pickup until Sunday. She said ""No prob. owner Don Lives behind it""...When I picked up on Sun. Owner/Don said its $404 CASH and if I didn't like it, he would impound the trailer and call the sheriff. I explained what he said $45 a hub, he said NO WAY and because of a Sunday pickup it was more. I had 2 witnesses. BEWARE --- STAY AWAY! Cons: Dishonest Owner/Baited Me in and Switched Price more
