When I walked in to Gowns by Design with only three weeks until my wedding and no idea what I wanted I was expecting things to be difficult, but the ladies at Gowns by Design made choosing my dress a wonderful experience. They helped me find dresses that were not only beautiful, but were perfect on me. They even squeezed in my alterations to make the dress fit like a glove. I went to five shops total, but nowhere did I feel so valued. I don?t often write reviews, but the service here was truly exceptional. I?m quite frankly shocked by some of the other reviews - the prices I saw were comparable to other bridal shops (it?s a boutique, you aren?t going to find David?s $99 special because the quality here is high) and the customer service was absolutely amazing. I had no problem dropping by without an appointment and not only did they bring in the dresses, but they helped me into them. They were never pushy, but helped me make a decision that I was thrilled with. My dress was PERFECT! more

This was the worst experience i had. Please to all brides bides maids and MOB, be cautioned that Gowns by design will scam you. This is place does BAD BUSINESS. Be aware that the consultants are very rude and have no interest in making this a fun or memorable experience. This tuned me off right away, so 4 of the other girls went to another dress shop right away. Unfortunately one girl really liked a dress there and decided to go with it more

GREAT STORE. I have to say when I saw the reviews I hesitated to make an appointment. My sister bought her dress here a few years ago and I was afraid maybe the store had gone downhill. THEY WERE WONDERFUL! As a larger woman the sales woman made me feel more comfortable than I thought was possible. I saw many beautiful dresses and would recommend Gowns by Design to anyone. more

they did everything to make us feel unwanted. the saleslady, bobby or something, was a flat out awful person. she called me fat (im a 6), insinuated i was poor, was rude to my mother and friend, and flat out refused to accommodate any of my own personal requests. FOR MY OWN GOWN!! This place clearly doesn't care about their customers and i suggest that unless you want to leave with a bad self esteem, LEAVE THIS PLACE OFF YOUR LIST. I went looking for Wedding dresses this past weekend for the first time. The first place I went treated me with Red Carpet Service. The second place I went was Gowns By Design. We made an appointment ahead of time and we were approximately 10-15 minutes early. Immediately we got an attitude from the older lady at the counter. She did show us around the store and explain where each designer was. They offered zero help hooking the strapless bra (not an easy thing to do by yourself). I put on the first dress and the lady walked out to get my other family members. My cousin got out her camera and started taking pictures for reference later as to which one i really liked. The lady stormed and and yelled at her and said ""no pictures allowed and that all dresses can be found online"". I understand it's policy, but if you can find it online...why can't you take pictures?. Anyway, I tried on several dresses after that point and I found one I really liked, then all of a sudden the lady walks out and doesn't give a reason why. Finally a manager walked to help us out. The lady came back and with an attitude, claimed her daughter was on the phone and she just wanted to talk with her. They do not give out style number so that you can reference the dress online. I possibly would have bought a dress there, but the service was so horrible...I would NEVER go back! Pros: Nice dresses Cons: Poor service more

My maid of honor and i went by gowns by design to just check out the selection with no appointment (Sat). We were greated by Bonnie who was very happy to assist us. She told us that there was a cancellation and took us to the bridal room. She sat down with us asked questions to get a feel for what I am looking for. She was very personalble and friendly, made us very comfortable and gave great advise. I am now stuck between 2 gowns. This is the TRUE bridal experience and Far from the large chain stores. I purchased my gown at Gowns By Design. I saw a beautiful Maggie Sotterro gown in a magazine and when I looked for it online it said I could find it at Gowns By Design. I tried it on and fell in love with it, It was very beautiful! I went back with my mother, mother in law and sisters and everyone was impressed with the service we got, they made everyone feel at home they were helpful and helping me into the dress and making sure I had all the undergarments I needed and it was just an overall wondeful experience. I would recommend Gowns By Design to anyone. The prices were reasonable for designer dresses and the service was GREAT! more

This was the second bridal salon that I visited on my hunt for the THE dress, and I found it. My mom, three aunts and I made an appointment in the evening and it was wonderful because we had a lot of privacy and we practically had the store to ourselves. The associate that helped us was ""Debbie"" and she was wonderful. She was kind, understanding and VERY knowledgable. We were given our own private room and Debbie allowed us to choose the dresses that we liked. She then helped us to narrow down what style was best for me, based on my own taste and body type. The selection was wonderful and the gowns are truly works of art. The shop is prestine and very charming. I would recommend this shop to anyone searching for a bridal gown or any other special occassion gown. it was a wonderful experience! Pros: Selection, Great Service, Great Lighting, Privacy, Attention to Detail Cons: They carry some dresses that cost more than $2,500, so some of them may not fit the budget for some people. more
