I would honestly give them no stars if I could. I felt like part of a cattle herd when I went in there. There are 6 different desks with 3-4 people behind each desk, 80% of them...

Great Experience 2/11/2012

During my recent visit to the Gailey Eye Clinic, I was surprised at how much bigger the building was then it appeared on the outside. The front desk staff were all warm and friendly upon my arrival. I could have easily got lost in there but the doctor's assistant was patient in guiding me through the building as I have some trouble getting around. The doctor was prompt and knowledgable. I needed new glasses since I haven't had a new pair in nearly ten years and I was pleasantly surprised by the choices in the eye glass shop. I highly recommend Gailey for your eye care needs. more

Vast Improvement 12/13/2011

I was a first time patient at Gailey this summer. My first visit wasn't so pleasant because of a very long wait I had and the rush that I was put in once I was finally seen by the staff. HOWEVER, I was told that the wait was due to the transition to the electronic medical records keeping system, which would help improve their current process. I was apologized to and had a great experience with Dr. Lee. Since then, I've had to go back for follow up appointments due to an eye condition that I have. I've been back about 4 times and not one time did I have to wait longer than 10 minutes. The staff was very friendly as well. The only reason I am giving 4 stars now is because of the difficulty that I've had trying to reach someone to confirm/cancel an appointment, ask a question, etc. I think if they got their phone system on the same level as their new electronic record keeping to make things smooth, they would be a 5 star establishment for sure. more

LOUSY 8/16/2010

I would honestly give them no stars if I could. I felt like part of a cattle herd when I went in there. There are 6 different desks with 3-4 people behind each desk, 80% of them seemingly 20-25 year old nubile girls. Whatever, but when I gave one of them the code my insurance gave me to get a discount (yes, I have crappy Aetna insurance) she gave me attitude, claiming she's never done that. So then I sit and wait to go in, a full 30 minutes after my appointment time. Then when one of the young girls proceeded to give me the eyedrops and glaucoma test, and insisted on pulling back my eyelids after I told her I don't like my eyes being touched, that did it. After 20 minutes of that, I was then sent to yet another waiting room to wait for the chance to go into yet another exam room where I then waited for another 15 min for the actual doctor to come in. He comes in, talks to me a mile a minute (like I was on an assembly line), then tells me I'm going to have to pay $90 to learn how to put contacts in, but that will be refunded if I can't get them in. Later, when I called a contact tech to ask about the appointment, he tells me that I would have to pay a $30 office visit regardless, and that he would put them in first. If he can't get them in, then contacts aren't for me. Honestly, I was floored. So...wait...let me get this straight. Even though I'm the only one putting these in, I have to be able to let somebody else put them in or I can't have them? Seriously? I have never in my life been through such an uncomfortable and ridiculous process (dentist, doctor) than at Gailey Eye Clinic. They strike me as just a big money grab, and for all the people that work there, NOTHING is efficient. Avoid if you are looking to get contacts, they are terrible. more

Nothing but a number... 3/31/2009

I went in for an exam and and felt like i was in prison. It was a pure corporate environment. I went to one window and was sent to another window to see a 'contact technician.' After I asked what my insurance would cover on my insurance, I was told that the contact technician cost $30 at no choice to me. I was then sent back to the orignal window where I was given a buzzer (like you get a restaurant) to wait for the doctor. I left because I felt so uncomforable. Cons: not personably, uses all of your insurance more
