I scheduled an appointment here after many recommendations from friends. I went in, spoke to my stylist and told her I wanted to go much shorter with my hair. She asked lots of questions, worked with me and gave me a good cut. After a few days when it was still not settling quite right, I called and they brought me right in for a free fix - it just needed to be thinned a bit more. I have been going to Franklyn Studio every 6 weeks for the past two years and I have always been very pleased with my haircuts and styles. The reception staff has always been very nice and helpful when making appointments or, in one instance, allowing me to cancel an appointment and setting up another one in a timely manner. My stylist always listens to me when I go there as far as what I want and I have never been disappointed. I drive 50 miles to get to Franklyn Studio and for me, it is well worth the trip. I love Franklyn Studio. I have been going there for the past 3 years, and they are wonderful. I love my stylist/colorist. She does a wonderful job of giving me a slightly different color and cut each time to keep the look current but absolutely never anything drastic. She always is on-time and completely professional. She always checks multiple times before she cuts to make sure that I am comfortable with the length. The staff there has always been very courteous. Whenever I call with a question or to reschedule an appointment, they respond courteously and professionally. I love that they send me an e-mail reminder a few days in advance of my appointment. Additionally, on the few occasions that I have to reschedule and there is not an appointment available in the next week or two, they have scheduled me with the next available appointment and then put me on a cancellation list. Both times, I have gotten a call back fairly quickly with another sooner available appointment. I also love that the salon makes their products available but offers no high-pressure sales tactics. If I like what they do, that's great and I can buy it, and if I don't want it, that's fine, too. I have always been offered a drink and something to read. Franklyn Studio is my little luxury, and I always feel pampered when I leave. For me, it has been Simply the Best. Pros: Great customer service and a stylist who actually listens to what I want! I recently called in to schedule an appointment with my stylist for my husband and I. We were recommended to her 2 years ago by a friend. When I called they told me she no longer worked there and asked me if I would like to go ahead and schedule with another stylist. How unprofessional to just assume I wanted to schedule with someone else. I went there for the stylist not because your voted the best salon in harrisburg that means nothing to me and I agree with the other lady it is rigged. When you go in around voting time they have computers set up to vote. Now that seems pretty rigged to me. I will no longer go to this salon I loved my stylist she was talented and fun and I and my husband hope to find her. I believe foul play was involved she was always so happy to be there and talented. I hope she is well. more

I went to this salon after reading in Harrisburg Magazine that viewers rated this salon ""Simply the Best"". I think this poll is rigged. I received the worst haircut of my life a week ago. I explained what I wanted and got the exact opposite. Instead of a cute/trendy haircut I walked away with a very matronly haircut. I actually cried after leaving this salon. It will take more than 6 months to grow back to the length I had when entering the salon. I think I had the same hairstlyist as the other reviewer! Very exepensive and horrible to boot! BEWARE! more

Was totally disappointed with my very expensive hair cut - it was a mess. Waited 2 weeks to see if the hair would settle down before I phoned to express my disappointment - was told I would be contacted by a manager to discuss the situation - was never contacted - not that it matters - will NEVER go back!
