although this is an older park - it does offer a very shady playarea, they have 2 play areas a good distance apart, so it's a nice walk on a walking path to the other park which has a rock wall - great for the older kids, there is also a little snack stand and old time carousel, the prices for both are reasonable and alot of fun more

Fun for everyone! 8/3/2005

Forest Park is 150 acres of family fun! It features a 9-hole golf course, a miniature golf course, a carousel, large play area, lots of picnic shelters, a public pool, tennis courts, horseshoe courts and the Indiana Transportation Museum. The play area is well-shaded which makes it really nice on a hot day. Kids will love the Carousel (only $1 to ride) and miniature golf course. Restrooms are available, as well as a snack bar. more

Great Place 6/30/2005

This park is really nice! We go there a lot. There is a park geared towards the smaller kids and one with stuff for the bigger kids. There are 4 shelters, a carousal ($1 per ride), a putt-putt course ($2 or $3, I can't remember) and a public pool ($4 age 1 and up), a paved path, and a golf course. They have a very small Train Museum, but I think they may be shutting it down soon. It is a pretty popular place! more
