Baseball just isn't fun anymore 8/14/2005

I recently went to a FL Marlins game and had the opportunity to sit in a skybox. About 10 years ago, I was a huge baseball fan until the players striked and it became apparent it was all about money - not the love of the game. Since then, attendance has dwindled and has done so at Florida Marlins baseball games. Granted, it was a Tuesday night, but the stadium didn't even seem 1/4 full. Concessions are outrageous and the lines are just as bad. Parking is horrendous. The stadium decided that it would be better to sell out to Toyota and divide the lots using models - a grand total of 3. So parking in the "Tundra" zone really doesn't help you out much since it wraps all the way around the stadium. But I'm sure we can all be glad they're making advertising dollars off that system. If you're looking for a night of fun, don't spend it with the Marlins. more
