The only part that is enjoyable....is the Enchanted story land area. If you have little ones with you, there is a lot of walking and hills. The big rides have height restrictions ...

Fun for little ones 5/11/2006

The enchanted forest is fun for the little ones. My little girls love everything that the enchanted forest has to offer, except the haunted house, which is really a house, and pretty darned haunted, unlike carnival haunted houses it will surely offer a scare. Enchanted offers a fairytales brought to life, western town, indian caves, and more. In the summer there is plays that are fun to sit and watch. Come see the wicked witches house from snow white, walk through the crooked old man's house, and crawl through the Alice in Wonderland rabbit hole. Next to the Enchanted forest there is a cool water park, if you plan to go in the summer months bring a swimsuit and check out the park next door. more

A Different Amusement Park Experience 12/27/2005

About an hour south lies the most amazing childhood experience. Designed by the original landowner as a play place for his children/grandchildren, is an amazing labyrinth of trails and tunnels based on classic stories. Kids can go into the rabbit tunnel from Alice in Wonderland, walk through the crooked house and see the seven dwarves hard at work in the mines. There are rides, haunted houses, western towns and even a bizarre but enjoyable music water show. I have never been to any place like it and highly recommend it for children of all ages! more

Fun for the young 10/6/2005

Enchanted Forest brings the nursery rhymes and mother goose stories to life for the young. They have plays perfomed several times a day, which are really very well done. There are some large slides which are fun for all ages. A few rides are for the older kids, but most are more geared to age 8 and younger. The rides are very expensive, and the admission is not cheap. They do allow families to bring food into the park which is nice. more

An odd place 8/15/2005

Enchanted Forest is located right off of I-5 near Salem. It doesn't have much to offer in terms of rides. It has a set of water slides that offer a nice respite on hot days. The rides are not very fun and kind of old, they're more jerky than exhilarating. more

Disneyland Ripoff 8/10/2005

Knowing full well that Disneyland will never be replicated (or even close) by any other than Disney (and they can't even quite get it down), Enchanted Forest attempts (maybe not on purpose) and fails in an actually laughable way. The only problem is, the laugh you get is not worth the drive from Portland, nor the money it costs to get into the park. A (hardly) noble attempt, but I'm sorry, it's no good. However, the haunted house is not only crappy, but actually pretty creepy at parts. And the slanted house is really fun. It would probably be more fun, though if you were drunk. more

A place for the young. 8/5/2005

Tucked away in Turner Oregon, Enchanted forest is a fun place to visit for the afternoon. Not really suitable for the older kids, the younger ones will have a blast running through the small village, going on the smaller rides, and just exploring the surroundings. Rides are very spendy, but there really is enough to do without spending too much money on the individually ticketed rides. more
