Eastside Club Tavern

The Eastside Tavern is the only actual tavern in Olympia left. After the demise of Olympia's downtown from a peaceful hippie enclave to a dreary hipster paradise, many of the better cultural parts of olympia went out of business, one of the last being the historic spar. An excellent throwback to sunnier hippy days is the eastside tavern. On mondays and thursdays you can have a pint of the best beer the northwest has to offer for around 2.25. There are also good deals on pool, and several pool tables. There is even an airhockey table and a table tennis setup. Pros: Good people, lots of pool tables, good live bands, good jukebox, lots of seating, awesome beer Cons: there is sometimes so much patchouli it makes you want to gag more

Possibly the best part about the Eastside Tavern is that it has around 40-50 beers on tap at all times! AND they are constantly updating their selection! The pitchers are cheap; the single pints aren't bad either. The ambience is that of a good, old ""worn in"" bar. The servers are friendly and know their products for the most part. I've asked for suggestions many times and they've been happy to help. The Eastside is a great place to go and hang out with: pool, ping-pong, and a great jukebox to keep you entertained if you don't feel like just talking. They also do live music frequently, but there are places in the bar where one can still sit, enjoy a beer, and talk with ones' friends.
