One of my cats recently needed a serious surgery. I called East Paulding Animal Hospital and they made time to get her in that day. The doctors stayed late and went in on their day of just to check and make sure everything was going well. more

Not A Fan 2/2/2015

I read all the reviews so decided to try this vet instead of going all the way to Austell to the vet I used for 20+ years.\r I took my puppy for all the puppy shots, four visits saw one female Doc one time for probably less than 5 minutes. I engaged her talking about my puppy a YorkiPoo had food aggression, first dog ever and i had had a 120 lb German Shepherd. She looked at me and said nothing. She barely said anything. Was not a fan\r Took my pup for grooming. Groomer only accepts cash... Who does that in a large thriving business.Called to ask if they took check, No! Cash basis only no paper trail means illegal to me definitely off the books.\r All OK I guess but the cost??? $43. A YorkiPoo. The grooming was just OK. I have had a poodle and a cocker and never paid that much and they came back with a scarf or a bow.. This pup bowless..(( Cash only, not that great of a job and no Bow.. Will I back. NO!\r People Bullards Vets talk with you every time and listen. There can be a wait because more

Uncaring vets/waste of money 7/13/2013

I will never make the mistake of going to this clinic again - spent $400 and still have a very sick kitty and NO diagnosis. I was told that if I was a good owner, I would spend all the money possible on all the tests they wanted to run to find out what was wrong with him. We live paycheck to paycheck and even though my cat is my child and I love him beyond reason, I simply do not have the money to have ultrasounds and extensive tests done. This was the most uncaring vet I have ever encountered - would not recommend them to anyone unless you have unlimited funds to give them. more

This clinic is only concerned with money. I was basically told that by not agreeing to have every diagnostic test imaginable run on my cat that I was not a caring pet owner. My cat had diarrhea and instead of examining him for something simple like worms, they want to do extensive blood work and ultrasounds. I spend $400 and I still have a very sick kitty who is no better. \r I would NEVER take any animal to this vet again. Only people who are rich can afford to go there. They are only concerned with getting as much money as possible from you and do not care about the animals. A true vet would treat a sick animal regardless of payment. These vets depend on extensive testing to determine what is wrong with your pet - I remember vets when I was younger - they fully examine the animal, rule out simple issues and then treat the animal. These vets act like they have no clue what could be wrong with the animal and fully rely on all these fancy expensive tests to tell them what to do. I will never make the mistake of going here again!!! more

UNCARING VET 8/22/2012

I have used this Vets office since 1998 before I became a Cat lover. I always thought they were decent and continued to use them. I called them today because my inside cat has been ill since Monday night, she will not eat or drink, staying behind the sofa and I was very worried about her. I called to ask their advice and of course they said "SHE NEEDS TO BE SEEN" I explained to them that I am now on disability myself and would not get paid until the 1st. and could they hold my check until next Friday? They said they could not give me any advice and they would not hold my check. I was not asking them to do anything for free but I don't think my cat can last for another 9 days. when I got off the phone with them I was in tears and called them back to tell them that they were in it for the money and not the pets! I understand they have a business to run and have their "policy's" but my baby needed help today and all they said was "I'm Sorry". I will never use them again! It is about the a more

This is one GREAT clinic. 5/22/2012

We have been clients of EPAH for years and years. And have been involved in the sport of purebred dogs for nearly 30 years, so we have a bit of background with which to compare quality of service at vet clinics.\r \r I read with a bit of disgust some of the reviews on this site, those that were complaining about the attitude and service received at EPAH. Over the years, there have been several vets come and go and some front office staff changes. That is the nature of the industry. I have NEVER had a bad experience at this clinic. Over the years, we have had to put down several valued dogs, dealt with traumatic illnesses, needed emergency care, and just routine visits. There were individuals that we dealt with that I didn't particularly care for, but the health of my animals and the care they received over shadowed any personalities. \r \r If one of my animals required surgery, I promise you that NOBODY would touch them except Dr. Ricky Poe. more

STAY AWAY! 3/12/2012

Dirty, disorganized & rude- dr towles may have a heart for some animals others she saves only to forget and abandon- her level of heart and care for people is almost non existent - she is selfish and overly expensive. I am sure she has fans but if you aren't in that group of people who can do something for her- forget about her having any real consideration or compassion for you! Your animals deserve better and so do you! Stay away - RUN! more

Excellent Care at EPAH 6/29/2011

Had a sick cat JOE, of course it was the weekend, went to Lithia Springs animal hospital and was given an estimate $1,028!!! (overnight care, bloodwork, exam etc etc). Decined that and was then offered "Conservative Treatment" left with a sick cat, antibiotics, a very lukewarm exam and $192 credit card charge. No knowledge about what was wrong just told to go to a vet on Monday. \r Called a few friends and neighbors and heard great things about EPAH. I had taken Joe there once for a bite wound and they were great. At the Emergency vet over the weekend I had actually put their name down as Joe's vet because that is the only vet he had ever gone to. (I use Mobile clinics for Vaccinations and neuter/spay)\r I turn on the computer to find the number and stumble on to the reviews...hmmm... a few bad ones...my gut is telling me to go anyway and all of the sudden my phone rings and it is them! They have the paperwork that JOE went to ER over the weekend and they are checking on him! Since more

DO NOT go here in an emergency 1/19/2011

My dog ingested a bottle of pain pills and I rushed her to East Paulding Animal Hospital. Unfortunately, all of the veterinarians were at lunch. A receptionist said she tried to contact the vets but no one answered. I was livid. A staffer did direct me to a nearby animal hospital where my dog was immediately taken care of. I no longer do business with East Paulding Animal Hospital and I've urged all of my friends and family to do the same. more

good for parvo, really bad for everything else 12/21/2010

I have to admit that they saved my dog from dying with parvo but i do believ they are all about the money and when something is wrong they just take a guess instead of knowing I don't like the staff or the docs because they cut you off when you ask question they arent thorough and honestly i dont think they really studied in school. Granted this is the place to go if you want to fork out a ton of money and see them every other week for the rest of your dogs life. They are like a bad mechanic, i almost think they dont tell you what wrong w/ your pet or they screw them up so you have to come back. more

Good service 7/31/2010

I recently had my cat diagnosed with cancer at EPAH. It was obvious she was losing weight and being 14 years old we decided to have her put to sleep. It seemed like it took quite a while for the staff to get me into a room the first visit especially when we had an appointment. Id say it was 15-20 minutes in the waiting room and the same in the back room until the vet came to see us and start with an examination. On the other hand I felt my cat was treated with respect and a caring attitude. A few weeks later as her condition became worse I took her down to EPAH and had her put to sleep. While these things are hard to go thru I look back and can not think of anything EPAH could have done better including sending my family a card signed by all the employees that work there. Its easy to be critical when the ultimate outcome is losing a pet that has become one of the family regardless of service rendered. Pros: Convenient, good prices Cons: Very busy, long appointments more

Wonderful vet ofice 7/23/2010

We've been patients since '03. They saved one of my pups from dying from Parvo. They were amazing when my dog recently had to be put down. They saw us in the office with 15 min to spare, yet have all the time we needed. I never have a problem getting same day appts. They are very knowledgeable and compassionate and competitively priced. more

Bets animal hospital Ive ever been to 7/22/2010

I have been taking my dogs to East Paulding since 2003. I drive 30-40 minutes to them. I don't understand the negative reviews except that maybe people didn't get the answers they wanted. Bad experiences happen at even the best of places! Pros: bedside manner, cost, knowledge Cons: busy phone lines more

I don't know why the negative reviews 12/28/2009

I was referred to this practice when we obtained our kitten back in July. When I went I was a little weary because I had read the reviews on here about the negative things. I don't know why they would write such nasty things. From the moment I arrived they were very attentive towards me and especially towards my baby kitten. We ended up having her neutered there as well and she came home acting like nothing had happened. I now have a new baby puppy and I am taking him there as well today as a matter of fact. As far as pricing goes they are the cheapest I have found in that area. For a regular office exam it's $35.00 other places wanted $80.00 and up. I think they a reasonable and I think they are very personable there and until they prove it otherwise I will keep my posting here as a good review-those other bad reviews must have come from people who misunderstood something or just couldn't grasp that their pet was dying and no matter "who" gave them the news unfortunately that person was in line for their crude remarks in my opinion. Pros: Everything Cons: none that I have seen more
