Don't waste your time! 11/6/2012

My experience with Dr. Starr was an absolute joke. After arriving 15 minutes early, I wasn't seen until 25 minutes after my appointment time when her nurse came out to fill her water bottle and casually mentioned to me I could come back with her. After the nurse took my vitals (and wrote them down on a post it note, no chart?!) I waited for another 30 minutes before Dr. Starr came in. After talking with me for about ten minutes and ordering a prescription for me (and sending to to the wrong pharmacy), she handed my urine sample back to me and asked me to run it up the stairs to the lab. Incompetent, inconsiderate and totally unprofessional, don't waste your time! more

I like Dr. Starr 10/7/2009

I like Dr. Starr she is smart and answers questions directly. if you need to talk to someone go see a shrink. If you need comedy try UTube. I have been impressed by her knowledge and the fact that she has made room for me when emergencies arise. Dr. Starr knows her stuff and delivers the information straight. more

My Experience 8/20/2009

It takes a while to get to know her and for her to get to know you. However, once that happens (usually around a problem you are having), the relationship becomes warm and insightful. My only pet peeve is that you have to do too much of the work setting up a referral. more

My experience with Dr. Starr was very satisfying. I was in for a yearly checkup. I had to wait a few minutes, and then was put in an examining room, where a nurse took my vitals, weight, etc. Dr. Starr came in and went through my medical and family history with me, which was better than checking the forms that most drs give you. She asked relevant questions and listened to my answers and concerns. She gave me a full exam, and was attentive and matter-of-fact. She gave me several recommendations, and sent me for bloodwork. I received the complete results of the bloodwork (which I have never gotten before from any doctor) within 5 days, along with annotations about areas of concern and actions to take. I guess some people may not like her bedside manner, as she is not overly effusive and demonstrative, but I found her polite, pleasant, and to the point, which I like. My impression was that she was engaged in our meeting and interested in my care. I feel like I got great, high quality service and follow up, and felt like I was welcome to come back with any issues or concerns. more

McDonalds of Primary Care 9/25/2008

I have received more thorough attention from Dunkin Donuts employees and from what I hear its not just this doctor in this office. more

Excellent Primary Care Physician 10/5/2007

I've been seeing Dr. Starr for 7 years now. She has always been thorough, caring, and cautious. She has run all tests necessary to ensure that my symptoms were accurately diagnosed. Dr. Starr also makes sure that any referrals she provides are covered by my insurance. I absolutely trust her, and would recommend her. more

The Best Primary Care Physician I've Had 9/30/2007

Her ability to accurately diagnose whatever problems I've had and point me to the appropriate treatment is unlike that of any primary care physician I've had in the past. She is thorough, caring and efficient. She also genuinely seems to care about you as a patient. I wouldn't think of trusting my care to anyone but her. more

Not So Good. 8/26/2007

My experience was completely the opposite. Dr. Starr would not listen to my list of symptoms deeming them not relative to my condition. I ended up having celiac which I showed all the symptoms for then, and is a disease often directly related to the thyroid disease she did diagnose me with. Furthermore, after a year or so under her care, she told me to see an endocrinologist to have a surgery that both endocrinologists said I shouldn't have. She also set me up to have an unnecessary MRI that was not covered by my insurance and that she knew I couldn't pay for. I do not reflect upon that time of my treatment fondly. more

Fantastic Primary Care Physician 9/3/2005

Dr. Starr is incredibly caring and thorough. She takes the time to review your medical history at every visit so that she does not miss any potential health problems that you may have. She answers questions satisfactorily and provides literature for your health concerns. Her number one priority is keeping her patients healthy. more
