Costume Galore

Costumes Galore closed it's doors in October/November of 2008. I had used them for 11 years without a problem. In the last months I do know there were personal family matters that needed to be attended to, thus the closure of the store. I do not know the circumstances of any online orders since the closure, but I do believe they stopped taking online orders at the time of the closure. more

The owners name is Peter Redmon his cell is 626-345-9265 this company does not exsist, I drove to the address the shop went out of business. This man is taking advantage of people. more

They didn't send me my products. I ordered in Sept 09. It is now Nov 09. They won't return emails... there is no phone number. Now it's a big hassle to get my money back. Boooooooooooooooooooo! more

I ordered products from the Costumes galore website. I received a confirmation email but never received the merchandise! I have sent SEVERAL emails and NO ONE has responded. I ordered on Sept 15, 2009. My account was charged on Sept 18, 2009. But I never received the merchandise. I have written and no one returns my emails. If you call them, you get an answering machine that is full and cannot take anymore messages. I have contacted my credit card company to get my money back. Pros: none Cons: This must be a scam more

I purchased over a $100 worth of theater makeup from them and they said they'd contact me asap regarding my order and with shipping information. I waited a week...nothing. So, I started to email them since they stated in their website this was the best way to get in touch with them. Nothing. I decided to call...no answer!! They didn't even respond to any of my emails requesting when the products would be shipped and they didn't even answer their phone! I called countless times, emailed them countless times and finally I had my credit card company dispute the charge so I could get my money back. Yep, that's right, they charged me for something they never gave me. This company is shady and their customer service is the worst I've ever seen. I doubt they even have a company any more since they've closed down their store to the public in CA. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!!! ITS A SCAM!! Please don't learn the hard way like I did! Got a great costume from polite and helpful employees in a clean and well-organized shop. I had gone to 2 other shops first and had very bad experiences in those. The guys at Costumes Galore were tops compared to the others. The quality of the costume (sewing, design, cleanliness and in good repair) was also better than in the two other shops. The only downside was that the waits were a little long, but I went at a busy time of year before Halloween. Pros: better quality costumes for about the same price, better service more
