If you're a fan of true BBQ, you know what I mean when I say there's no smoke ring. I think they use liquid smoke in place of real wood smoking. If not, they did a sub-par job of it. I had the ribs and my wife had the pulled pork. She wanted brisket but they didn't have any, which seemed odd. Pulled pork was okay, it didn't taste horrible, just didn't have much flavor at all. The ribs were meaty, fell off the bone a little too easily for my taste. Again, they tasted like liquid smoke was used. The BBQ sauce was very good, not too sweet or tangy, a nice blend. The ribs were, in my opinion, tons better than Jerry's Old Town which, for reasons I don't understand, seems to be a well liked place around here. If I couldn't make ribs myself, I may go back to Conways.
Pros: Beans
Cons: No smoke ring!
