College dental needs to stop over charging people and being dishonest about coverage. Also need to be more efficient in checking in patients so they do not have to wait 30 minutes or more from their appointment time. And all dentists should wear masks over their nose and mouth when doing an exam..we do not want to smell your breath when you are inches from our nose and mouth! more

This place used to be great, back when they were smaller ~1999/2000 timeframe. Once they started getting bigger, customer service went out the window in favor of trying to con patients into paying for unneeded services. For 2 years I was told that I needed to have my old fillings removed with new porcelain added. I kept telling them no and each time they would forcefully try to scare me into buying them. I finally gave up on them after being a patient who came in every six months for 10 years. I just went to RGB Dental in Rancho Bernardo... on their own they commented how well my old fillings were holding up! I asked if they saw any cracks or any reason to replace and was told, "No, we only replace when we see a need." What a change... never going back to College Dental. They are a rip-off. more

I have been a patient of College Dental Group for over 10 years and have never had a problem. I love my dentist Dr. Kula and hygienist Ellen. I think a lot of people who have posted negative reviews are not posting all the facts. Every time I have gone into the office I am explained everything in detail and given quotes on prices based on MY insurance plan. They are definately a busy office and may not be for everyone but there needs to be more people posting that have had good experiences like me! I am happy going here and the staff has been nothing but nice to me. more

First of all there is only ONE positive review about this place and I bet it is from an employee there!!! Can you say thieves??? Told me I needed things done that I absolutely did not need. Lied and told me I needed to get a porcelain inlay for a cavity which cost over $1000...I had to pay about 400 myself just on ONE CAVITY!!! They are great at confusing their patients and making them think they absolutely need services. A few days later I had two wisdom teeth pulled but they tried to charge me and my insurance for 4 wisdom teeth. Debbie tried to lie and said she corrected it but a few weeks later we realized that wasn't true and had to keep fighting alongside our insurance to get things fixed. I had a dental yes card and they charged money on there they shouldn't have (over $100) and I NEVER got my money back. Debbie is a terrible terrible lady!! I could go on and on but I think you get the idea. These ppl need to be put out of business. PLEASE DONT EVER GO HERE!!! more

I would have to agree with the previous reviews. This place is horrible. My son has different insurance than my husband and I, and HAS to go to this clinic because they have a contract with United Concordia. I just got off the phone with my insurance company after telling them I would cancel my policy and find other coverage before I would go back. College Dental told me my 15 year old needed a root canal, crown and filling and also a consult with an Orthodontist... after spending more than 4 HOURS there 3 1/2 waiting for the dentist to pop in for 3 minutes and then come back for 10 and disappear yet again. I got an estimate for the crown another for the root canal, someone else came in for the filling, and yet someone else to schedule an Ortho appt. Very pushy, over 4,000 dollars for rt canal and crown and a few unnecessary add ons that no insurance pays for... I got a second opinion and he DID NOT need a crown, OR braces!! They come across as an establishment that cares more about n more

Everything bad you have heard here is true. They pulled off my wife' s crown that had nothing wrong with it so they could charge her to put on a new one and when we asked them to put it back on they said they broke it and so now she has a broken tooth that she did not have before she entered the dentist. There normal routine is to attempt to extract as much money from each patient as possible by telling you how bad your teeth are when nothing is really wrong and then making you feel bad if you don' t have an extra few thousand dollars for gold crowns that they must do on the day that you came in for a cleaning only. Yes, we are there for cleaning only! And that's our decision... they would not respect that! more

Never GO to College Dental Group. They had to do crown over several times for temporary, and then the permanent is still not fitting well. Then they billed me for services that my insurance covers. I do not recommend them at all. more

I still cry every time I remember the experience I had with this dental office. I was scheduled to have my tooth extracted after having waited 3 days with pain to have an appointment.After waiting for 1 hour the dentist Dr. Rogers came in & looked at my x ray & suggested several expensive treatments.I politely told her that I just want the tooth pulled out she then stated that she cannot pull my aching tooth out & left the room.This is after I called a week before the appointment making sure that Dr. Rogers will be able to extract my tooth, I even had the receptionist personally ask the doctor if she will do it & waited for a call back, they didn't & so I had to call them again to make sure Dr. Rogers will extract the tooth & she said yes.I waited for another 15 minutes & i can hear Dr. Rogers already with another patient as I was waiting. I went to this office being in pain, needing a root canal. I asked for a specialist. They sent me home saying they would call with a referral to a specialist. The office never called me. 24 hrs. I later I called and left a message for them to call me. No one called the rest of the day. Later I went in for a filling and the office help was extremely resistant to book me just for a filling, as they wanted to prep me for a crown. I waited two hours in the waiting room for the dentist to call me for the filing work. This office does not put customers first. I was upset with their service more

Hmm....let's see where should i start! I waited past 1 hour past my appointment time, they did a filling on a wrong tooth and charged me and gave me no refund, and they ahd the nerve to send me at home a bill for my x-rays which my insurance fully covers.I'll never go there again. Stay away from them. more

I would highly recomend College Dental. They are very resonable and the wait is very short. If your low on cash they will work with you on your payments. The orthodontist there is the best and will provide you with a very honest opinion on what you need done. Everyone there is very friendly. You will get the best care. This for sure is the best place to go if you need braces. I did alot of shopping before I found College dental. I was amazed in the price differences. more
