Suft Bowl is a very cool bowling alley. They offer very good prices, and they have great hours. On certain days, they have very cheap bowling... it could be a very cheap night with a bunch of your friends if you go at the right time. It's a fun time and a great bowling alley. I highly recommend!

Cinema Star Mission Marketplace 13 Theaters is a great theater. It always packed with young kids on the weekend and can get pretty stuffed. I love going here to catch a movie. Cinema Star Mission Marketplace 13 is the only theater for miles around since I live in the middle of no where, but it okay, they aren’t bad. They are actually great. Very nice and clean. Highly recommend.

Parking can be a problem for this smaller theater so be sure to plan ahead and get there a little early before your show begins. Not to worry about what to do while you're waiting though because there's plenty to do with all the stores around, and there are lots of places to eat at just outside the theater

This part of the 101 highway is an interesting mix; generally, the area is getting a lot better, but there are still a couple of creepy places, such as a residence hotel a few doors down whose patrons like to catcall at single women. Having said that, when you're in the area, you won't want to miss the museum here. It's small but some of the photography and collectible surfboards cannot be seen anywhere else. The roots in this museum go deep; the curator I spoke to has owned one of Cardiff by the Sea's top watering holes for more than 20 years; the directors either are on first name basis with surfing legends, or ARE surfing legends.

Helgren's is a great place to take a Whale Watching cruise. Not only will you actually see whales out in the ocean, but you will also learn a lot about them. Trivial things they don't tell you at Sea World, but interesting none the less.
The actual boat ride is fun and getting close to the whales is amazing. Not a lot of fun if you have motion sickness though. The prices are very reasonable for something that not too many people get to experience.

Laser storm is a really cool place to play laser tag. They will give you a quick introduction on how to play in case you are a beginner. Then you get to go out and play in a futuristic arena, which is filled with all sorts of obstacles and fog. This is a good place to go for a party or special event. They keep track of your individual score in all types of categories and if you are having an event there, you can offer prizes for each different category. It's too bad that it's in North County. We need one in San Diego.

Awesome family fun for a great price. looking for a fun activity for family and friends, this is a fun and friendly environment. It gets pretty crowded during the weekends so try and get their early. If you get there and there aren't any tables available, then you might have to find something else to do!!!
