Preys on young women 7/9/2015

My 19 year old daughter, Hailey Bockholt, moved from South Dakota to Colorado for college on June 1st, 2015. On June 8th, she got rear-ended and her car was totaled. She was waiting for her insurance check and was renting a car. She went to Centennial Chrysler to buy a car. The salesman knew she was in a desperate situation, and that she was a young, naive 19 year old girl who was buying a car without her family. They found a Saturn Vue at the dealership and was told car was inspected, her boyfriend witnessed this. Seller told them everything was great and had her sign papers. This was June 19, 2015. She called them on June 29th to tell them the car was acting funny. Salesman told her too bad, she signed a paper saying it wasn't inspected and didn't have a warranty. They would not pay to fix it. She took her car to the service department, who said they wouldn't look at it until following week. On July 3rd, she drove her car to go to her extended family's Fourth of July celebration i more

She called them on June 29th to tell them the car was acting funny. Salesman told her too bad, she signed a paper saying it wasn't inspected and didn't have a warranty. They would not pay to fix it. She took her car to the service department, who said they wouldn't look at it until following week. On July 3rd, she drove her car to go to her extended family's Fourth of July celebration in Iowa, which was 10 hours away. She and her boyfriend made it to Kearney, Nebraska, which is still 5 hours from Iowa, and the car shut down on the interstate. She had to have the car towed to an auto repair shop in Kearney. Because of the holiday, they would not be open until Monday the 6th. So my daughter and her boyfriend were stranded in Kearney until we could find someone to drive out to pick them up and bring them back to Iowa in the middle of the night. We paid $300 to have someone pick them up. I called the dealer and was told by 2 different people that she should have bought a better car and it was her fault and that she signed a piece of paper saying she knew car was not inspected. I then talked to the general manager, Steve Barr. He said car didn't have a warranty so it was her fault and it didn't matter if car broke down after 2 hours, it would not be his problem because she should have bought a better car. I asked him if he would give her her money back. He said no. I asked if they would pay to tow it back and fix it. He said, she would have to pay her own towing for the 4-5 hours it would take to get back there. If it was a minor problem, they might fix it, but if it was the transmission, they would not. He said maybe IF she found a way to get the car back there and IF there wasn't anything major wrong with it, he would consider trading her a different car IF they had something there. I told him I was writing a review of the company and he said not to write a review until it was all over or he would get pissed. After we hung up, I noticed that this company had an enormous amount of bad reviews and my daughter was having so much emotional distress caused by them using predatory selling practices. I wrote the review and encouraged my family and friends to also after hearing about how they treated my daughter and wouldn't give her money back or fix it or trade it if it was the transmission. Steve then called me again because he was upset about the review. I told him I did not trust their company and wanted her money back. Steve hung up on me. The auto dealer in Kearney called and said the transmission is ruined and they don't even make that kind anymore. He said it would cost $3500 to fix plus $10/day to keep it there until we figure what to do with it. She only had the car from June19-July3 and is told she is now out an enormous amount of money for a college girl just trying to start out in life. The emotional cost that this company has caused her is even more than that. more

I recently leased a 2014 Grand Cherokee here. When I got home and read the papers they had me sign, I noticed that they charged sales tax on the full MSRP which was $15,000 more that the net after trade in price. The fine print stated that if the tax charged was less than actual, the buyer will pay the difference. BUT... if the tax charged was more than actual, THE DEALER KEEPS THE DIFFERENCE. This shows intent to defraud. \r \r These are real bad guys...stay away. more

The Best Experience 6/6/2013

The internet purchase is the best experience I have ever had purchasing a car. I found the car I was looking for and I was able to negotiate the price before I arrived at the dealership. The salesman knew everything about the Grand Cherokee we were purchasing. My wife was absolutely delighted with the whole experience. We will definitely come back! more

Extremely helpful! 4/7/2013

Rashid was extremely helpful. We came in on a very snowy day and he went outside in terrible weather to find us the car we looking for. He was very knowledgable and we didnt feel pressured into purchasing anything but we left with a car that we love. He went out of his way to make sure that we were happy with our purchase and over-all experience. more

Nicholas hutchinson was a phenomenal businessman and fair dealer. I appreciated his honesty and genuine knowledge of the law and appropriate business practices. I do not like that finance requested my ssn for final paperwork claiming that the government needed it (which is not accurate given i was not using any dealer financing). They also wanted me to sign a backup loan/contract agreement, which is unnecessary with an electronic check. Overall my experience was good and i am satisfied more

Service Dept a HUGE Rip Off 1/3/2012

I used the service dept the day after Christmas and in the holiday spirit the service dept guy told us we need a few things done to my van to make it start. We checked with our guy in our service dept who works on our car in our home town. Even they said he was ripping us off becuase they di the repairs 2 months before. They a re cheats and they tried to charge us for things we had done. What a bunch of crooks! The same company in another town told us that we were getting the shaft from these guys!! DO NOT USE THEM. Pros: null Cons: null more

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! THEY ARE CROOKS!!! 5/19/2011

I sold my Jeep to them. They promised to give me the 11k in positive equity I had in it in 3-5 buisness days. Then they said 5-7 business days. Then they said up to 30 regular days at the very, very most. It has been weeeelllllll over a month. They have sold my old Jeep to another party and guess what? They still have not given me the check for my equity and what's even funnier? The won't take my calls, return my voicemails or emails and so what am I forced to do? Drive down there to meet them face to face to make them talk to me and what happens? They FLAT OUT REFUSED to cooperate with me when. I have had to involve Tom Martino, 9News, the state attorney generals office, the Colorado Motor Vehicle Dealer Board, BBB, Chrysler Corporate and several other agencies to reach a resolution on this. All the while, they got to sit on the profit from the sale of my vehicle AND MY EQUITY! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE JERKS...THEY ARE CROOKS!!! more

Worst Dealership Expierence Ever 1/21/2011

Bought a 2006 Chrysler 300C from Centennial Chrysler Jeep. A few days later noticed a vibration in the steering wheel. It ended up being the rotors were warped and needed replaced. Took it back to the dealership an asked them why they didn?t replace them in their 300 plus point inspection that they couldn?t stop talking about when I bought the car and they said because if it isn?t a safety hazard they don?t replace it. I told them that I wanted them fixed and they said no, and went on to ask me if they found something wrong with my trade in, they wouldn?t expect me to pay for it. Like they didn?t have all the tools and information they needed to make sure the car was in the shape I disclosed. After I threw the keys back at them they finally decided to fix the rotors. Then to top it all off I started doing a little research after the fact and found out I paid about $3000 dollars more than the car was worth. You wouldn?t think you would expect this from a dealership this size. Run form this dealership they are a bunch of low life scam artists. more

Do not buy a car from these people!! 6/15/2009

i purchased a car from these cheats . I was quoted one price, without haggling at all given another lower price which was the puchase price that I agreed to. When I came home, I went to a car sale website to see if I got a good deal. The exact car was listed at $800 less than I purchased on the website.. That price was $2000 less than the price I was first quoted. I immediately called the dealership and spoke to Dan, the GM. He promised to call me back after he researched my complaint. Almost two months later, I am still waiting for a callback. I also emailed the internet department who have never responded. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS!!!!! more
