We love our new, 2013 Passat. But sadly we were very disappointed with the sales team at Byers Imports. Their sales people aren't very professional, their sales process and sales manager was quite a bottleneck (took us about 3 hours to purchase once we made a decision to buy) and their delivery of the vehicle was a disaster... our vehicle was promised to be cleaned/detailed and ready-to-go, but they tried to get us to get off the lot without actually cleaning it. Blech. We won't be back to Byers. more

Changed my mind with their service 4/12/2012

I've had several poor experiences with the service departments at the other two VW dealerships in Columbus (see my review of MAG), so my expectations were not high when I first went to Byers. But what I found here is pretty much the opposite of everything at MAG. Where I was treated like an inferior at MAG (probably because I have Volkswagens and not Porsches), I was treated like gold at Byers. The waiting room at MAG is tiny and claustrophobic; the one at Byers is wide open and comfortable (good coffee, too). People at MAG were brusque; people at Byers are exceedingly friendly. MAG made promises and didn't deliver on them; Byers delivers and then some. I paid through the nose at MAG; Byers' bills are less than expected. MAG requires you to navigate a maze of access roads; Byers is easy to get to. I could go on. After my disappointment in MAG (and to a lesser extent, Hatfield), I swore off VW service for a long time, but Byers has changed my mind. Nice job, guys. more

They are very friendly and patient here. They answered all of my questions and walked with me and helped me browse to find a car. I felt that they were actually helpful and that I made the right choice. more

Nightmare!! 11/29/2011

Went here and was 100% sold that I was buying a car from here in the next week or so, due to the Imports they sell. Delt directly with Shane, the car manager, he allowed me to test drive a car and then went back to test drive others, he had the nerve to tell me he wasn't able to because of lack of inventory. He and his associate (Don) were very very unprofessional, I would not waste my time dealing with these guys, they are the type that make others feel like second class citizens. The stero-typical sales guys that act like what they are doing is just short of changing the world. Make a drive to purchase down in Cincy, these guys forever lost my business, I hope you will take my advice and they will lose yours as well. Very bad experince, so bad I left in a rental car!!! Happy hunting..... more

I finally decided it was time for that new Audi that I wanted. I went to Byers thinking I would check out what they had and see what kind of options they had for me. I drove off in my new Audi and I love it! I had a great experience, got the car I wanted and got a good deal on it. more

My husband and I bought a new Subaru from here because of how safe they are. The staff was very nice and made the process easy. We didn't have to spend all day there haggling and got out of there with a great car at a perfect price. more

The best 10/31/2011

I purchased a BMW in excellent condition for thousands less than most dealers. It runs great and I love it. I was so lucky to literally fall into Byers cars. They were extremely helpful on all levels and gave me more options than a dealer ever could. The personalized service and great deals makes Byers the best in Columbus. more

I was terrified going into a dealership and getting a car. I had heard and read horror stories that didn't help the situation. I decided to go with Byers Imports just based on the type of cars they had. Not only did they make the entire process painless, they got it done surprising fast. more

Just bought a new Jaguar from them on Saturday and it was the easiest car purchase I have had in Ohio. The sales staff is fantastic and really took the time to listen to my wife and me. There was nothing pushy about the sale, just a nice pleasant easy process. They really made it simple to buy a car. more

First Car 10/11/2011

Well, I just bought my first car. I had no idea what I was looking for. I went to a few dealerships ( which I'm not too much of a fan of because I don't really like sales people and how they come off) but my experience at Byers was amazing. All thanks to the best salesman. He knew a lot about the vehicles and his personality is very friendly. He explained to me the design of all the Subaru's and the current ratings and past ratings that the cars have had. I ended up buying a Subaru Forester 2.5 xt and I LOVE it. I recommend him to anyone that is looking to buy a car, any car. more
