I went to the store to sell diffrent pairs of Levis jeans. They made me wait outside of store for an hour. When i finally got in the store the girls were so RUDE and acted like jerks. The jeans i had were in good shape but they would not buy 1 item.Lots of other people were mad and were walking out of the store cussing.Buffalo Exchange is a LIE!! more

Seller Beware! 4/10/2009

Costa Mesa location, my first time going to the place: I was happy that it was close by and that I would get cash right away for my clothes. I packed two full bags of clothes to sell; some of them I hardly ever wore. Most were from BP Nordstrom, Gap, Old Navy, Guess, New York and Co. etc. THEY DIDN'T BUY A SINGLE ITEM FROM ME!!!!!!! NOT ONE!!!! They seemed friendly and all, and asked if it was my first time there or if I had ever shopped there before, and I said, no. Well, they did a great job at totally losing a future customer! The fact that they wouldn't even buy 1 single item just shows what they know about building human relations--absolutely nothing. I had cute tanks and skirts in there, and they totally blew it. They wanted ""skinny jeans"" and spring/summer stuff. Why would I give up my skinny jeans when they're still in style, and I want to wear them?! Don't even think about bringing in anything that's not ""currently"" instyle or they might make you haul all your stuff back to your car. I was so embarrassed walking out of there. Plus, there was a long line. Overall, it was a very bad experience. Oh, and even if they do want your stuff, they'll only give you 35% in cash of what they think they can sell it at or 50% in store credit. I didn't want to buy a single thing from them. It smells in there, too. If you're into THEIR style, try Dee lux; it's a much better place. Cons: They're REALLY picky about what they buy from you. more

extremely lame appraisal on clothes 2/27/2007

upon entering the store, i had about 4 bags full of clothing..out of the 4 bags they took 5 items which was really their choice since they supposedly ""know"" what people wear and dont wear. They took a $50 New York & Company shirt which was adorable but unfortunately didnt fit me, my Hollister pants which cost $50 were perfect only a few months old..only worn once size 0 or 1, a pair of abercrombie jeans which were about $70 and totally cute, and two pairs of my friends Levis which were cute as well .$50+$50+$70+ about 30 for each Levi pants adds up to $200. I understand its a consignment store and they are obviously not going to pay for the whole price cause they arent going to sell it for that much. can u guess how much they gave me for my $200 worth of clothes?..ill tell you..19 fricking dollars. how pathetic is that?i guess they take 30% off of how much they think the clothes are valued at..the girl said all my clothes were valued at 56.00..which is funny..cause its like im sure id know how much they are worth & they were extremely cute & they were name brands! so..she said i could either have $24 in store credit or $19 cash.i took the cash & left and didnt see what exactly she took from me cause they dont even tell you what they took if u dont ask. i didnt think she took my hollister jeans or my ny&co shirt so..i was like whatever..until i started driving back home which is in victorville 2 1/2 hours away..mind you i got half way there and started rummaging through my clothes to see what they took...i couldnt find my jeans or shirt so..i got really angry cause i know the value on my clothes...so i called them and told them the situtation..& because i had already signed a paper releasing the clothes...there wasnt anything they could do about it..but she offered to ask her manager...in the end..i was so tired and so far that i called them and said its ok. if you are donating then cool but if u want ure moneys worth..dont go there..they will RIP YOU OFF!!!!!!!!!!! more
